2. Itinerary

   This is what our experience could look like, but it’s not set in stone! Once you book, you can chat directly with your host to make small tweaks to suit your preferences.

3. Meeting in the morning in the port of Naples

   Meeting at 8:45 in Naples Molo Beverello port next to Bar Picnic

4. Getting your tickets

   As a licensed guide I have the priority to the ticket office. If you prepare the exact amount for the tickets (44€ per person roundtrip) I get them for you. The price paid will be written on your ticket.

5. Trip to Capri

   Getting on a fast boat (hydrofoil) to the island just in 50 minutes.

6. Arrival to the port of Capri

   Arrival to Marina Grande where we start out tour.

7. Boat ride arround the island

   Enjoying Capri island on one hour long boat trip tour. Visiting some of the most beautiful caves of Capri, going through the natural arch of faraglioni rocks and paying extra (1O€ for the rowing boat and + 4€ the entry per person) to enter the most beautiful blue cave - Grotta Azzurra.

8. Anacapri

   We'll drive with a tourist bus to the highest and wildest part of the island, where we have a walking tour through the old town of Anacapri. Here you'll learn about the artisan shops and the fashion of the island, taste some typical lemon products - sweets and lemon based liquors. Eventually, we'll reach the terrace of Axel Münthe's gardens where you can admire one of the most beautiful Italian panoramas. Also here start the finishian staircase. After that you'll have some free time where you can explore the little town of Anacapri on your own. Go to the Villa San Michele or use a chairlift paying extra.

9. Lunch

   Also it's possible for me to organize a typical italian lunch in a local cosy restaurant. Great service, local products and greater prices. Just 15€ per person for the tourist menù.

10. Capri

    We'll get with the tourist bus to the most famous spot of the island, it's center - Capri. You will see the spot were all the celebrities are taking cocktails - the beautiful piazzetta with it's magical terrace. We will go the oldest perfume laboratory and then to the Augustus gardens where you can make the most beautiful pictures of faraglioni rocks and Krupp street surrounded by the typical flowers of the island.

11. Getting back to Naples

    After the visit in Capri we'll go down with the tourist bus to the Marina Grande and get on the hydrofoil to Naples. We'll be back at arround 5:30 P.M. at Molo Beverello where our wonderful tour will be over

What a great time with Vittaglia. On a recent Rome visit, we decided we wanted to venture outside of Rome to see Capri and Pompeii. We knew it was a lot to pack into a single day trip. When we contacted Vittaglia she was up for the challenge. She helped us plan our journey from Rome via bullet train to Naples. She catered to our limited time and made the most of every moment. Unfortunately, we missed our early morning train and Vittaglia quickly pivoted to accommodate our later arrival. When we arrived she was waiting for us in the train station and quickly ushered us to a taxi she had waiting. We were off to catch a ferry to Capri. She thoughtfully purchased our tickets ahead of time which allowed us the opportunity to catch our breath from a hurried morning. After an hour long ferry ride, we arrived in beautiful Capri. Vittaglia recommended and arranged for a boat ride around the island. So beautiful! She even got us the perfect seats on the boat for picture taking – and she knew exactly where we should sit to see and capture this magnificent place. After the boat ride we took a bus to the top of the island and spent the mid-day walking, lunching and site seeing. Vittaglia is so knowledgeable; she told us stories of how the island was formed and the Emperors who took refuge on the island. Around every bend was a more beautiful vista. Vittaglia recommended a quick place for lunch and allowed us some time to rest. Then back to the ferry and on to Pompeii. When we arrived on the dock from the ferry Vittaglia had arranged a hired car. It was comfortable, cool and clean. Pompeii was amazing! As Vittaglia toured us, she told us stories of Pompeiian life and the demise of the city. She was very thorough and knowledgeable about the excavation of the city and what life was like before it was ultimately destroyed. Vittaglia painted a colorful picture of the past and kept us entertained and engaged through our entire visit. We found Vittaglia to be very thorough and knowledgeable. She was quick to respond to inquiries as we planned our trip. I do not think we could have seen as much on such a short visit without Vittaglia’s expertise. She was also funny, charming and kind. We would totally recommend Vittaglia as your guide when you are next visiting Naples and the surrounding areas (Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Pompeii, etc). Vitalija was a really fantastic guide. We were running late due to issues picking up our hire car & Vitalija was very accommodating. She swept us past the queue and gave us a really fun and engaging tour of Pompeii. Vitalija was an amazing guide for our trip to Pompeii. She was extremely knowledgeable and a great storyteller. She not only showed us all of the important sites at Pompeii, but also got us away from the crowds to show us some interesting places we would not have found on our own. Seeing the large groups listening to their guide on an earpiece and struggling to gather close enough to see made us realize we made the right choice booking a private tour. We loved our tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Vitalija. We were traveling as a family of six with a toddler in a stroller, which we knew would be a little tricky to manage, so we were hoping a small private tour would give us greater flexibility. Vitalija was absolutely fantastic as our guide. She adjusted the tour to our interests and needs, including whatever would be most helpful for the little one. Her English skills are superb, and she is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. I don't recall any question she couldn't answer. Talking to her was like talking to a friend. She helped us navigate the unfamiliar metro system around Naples and gave good suggestions for places to eat after our tour. Pompeii is super crowded, with large tour groups trying to follow their guides, and it was clear that we were at an advantage by having our own personal tour guide to navigate the sites. I would recommend withlocals.com and particularly Vitalija, for a great tour experience. Once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We had a great tour (4 adults and 1 20 yr old). She was very knowledgeable, spoke good English, and is a very good storyteller. She made the day very interesting. Pompeii is a tremendous site to see as it's so huge but Herculaneum is also amazing because multiple stories of houses are preserved. Excellent Pompeii & Herculaneum tour
