   Girona was founded by the Romans in the 1st C.BC. See the oldest wall preserved in town: the roman walls.

4. Cathedral square

   Admire the façade and the staire case of the Cathedral of Santa Maria, which has the widest gothic nave in the world. Optional to enter it. Entrance fee is 7,50EUR per person.

5. Medieval walls

   Enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Girona from the walls and walk on top of them. It's 1 km long.

6. Jewish quarter

   Be amazed by the narrow streets of the Jewish quarter, one of the best preserved in Spain. And get to know the history of the Jewish community that lived in town 6 centuries.

7. Hollywood star

   Discover a very unique thing in town: a Hollywood star from one of the most famous gironinian musicien: Xavier Cugat, known as "Cugi".

8. sweet tasting

   Taste the local sweet called "xuixo". It's a fried pastry bun filled with cream and delicious!

9. end of tour

   I will share recommendations of things to do, restaurants and coffee shops.

We had a wonderful tour experience with Gemma in Girona Spain. She was very friendly and personable! She was very knowledgeable of the area and sites and we loved the Game of Thrones aspect to it. Gemma adapted the tour to suit our active teenagers. We covered a lot of ground, with appropriate balance of educational content and fun. I especially appreciated that Gemma encouraged my kids to speak Spanish with her. Very fun tour!

Gemma was so wonderful with helping plan the tour and all the extra touches for my wife and I as we were celebrating a wedding anniversary. Candles, chocolates and treats! She was great in giving us an informative introduction into Old Town, the history, and of course Game of Thrones sites. Her restaurant and tastings recommendations have been spot on as we continue to eat our way thru Girona. we had an enthusiastic and detail filled tour of girona’s jewish quarter with gemma. she went beyond delivering the usual facts making sure we had everything we needed for our physical, emotional, and intellectual comfort, and insisted on ensuring we didn’t get lost on our way back to barcelona. she didn’t miss a detail. we felt very well taken care of and like we had made a new life long friend. jewish girona with gemma—so great!

I have already sent these comments directly to Gemma, who was very knowledgeable and good at assisting my disabled husband. Overall, the tours were ok, but very overpriced. We understand that private tours are more expensive than group tours, but these were definitely overpriced.Overpriced!
