Dimitri was absolutely lovely. It was just myself and my bestie for our tour. We met up with Dimitri a few hours after landing in Athens and it was the perfect way to spend our first evening. Everywhere we went Dimitri knew someone. On top of the delicious bites and drinks we mostly just sat, chatted and laughed together. The tour felt more like cafe hopping with an old friend you needed to catch up with than a structured itinerary. On top of our tour Dimitri gave us great recommendations for our trip even after we had parted ways. I could not recommend Dimitri more!New Friends feeling like old ones

This was our firat trip to Athens and this was the perfect wasy to see the real city. We do not usually take tours because thay just take you to the places that pay them, but because this was to be from locals we took a chance and were very pleased. Makram is from the local aera and knew the place well. He had great insite to the culture and history of both Athens and greek histroy. We would highly recomend this tour also if you would like to alter the trip to meet your prefrences he would be glad to accomiate youbest way to the real athens

this guy gets it. life, food, booze. We met Dimitri and went on a small walk through a neighborhood discussing everything from why we don’t walk in the sidewalks to basic demographics. Started with wine from a tin pitcher and a snack of perhaps the most standard Greek dish. The second stop elevated to a warm house made spiced liquor concoction and fried bits of heaven and delightful Fava bean hummus. Leading to the 3rd spot… calamari from the Gods and ouzo on ice. he knew we weren’t smokers and accomplished getting us choice seating. We were welcomed with smiles by all the waitstaff and crews we came across. We discussed art and hospitality. Dimitri obviously has a stunning reputation about town. We had an evening tour with Dimitri that really shaped our view of Athens. His communication with us was great, and he was so easy to find. He took us to a number of restaurants outside the tourist area, which was probably one of my favorite nights of our trip. He ordered us traditional drinks and food in an area of town where all the young locals were gathering. He seemed to know everyone in the community which made it really fun. Dimitri is a great guy, really kind and nice, and very professional. We would definitely do it again with Dimitri as our guide. Truly a local!

We booked this tour as we wanted a more localized food tour and were extremely pleased with the neighborhood, restaurants and food selected. Struggling with a cow's milk allergy Yorgos picked selections that I could eat that were amazing. The white cheeses in Greece are made with sheep and goat's milk and are so good. All the selections were amazing and Yorgos was great company. He made us laugh all evening. It was like going out with a good friend. This tour and Dimitri exceeded my expectations. I purchased it for myself (26 year old female) and my 3 cousins (18, 20, and 22 year old males) and we all enjoyed ourselves so much. Dimitri told us so many cool stories, taught us different Greek words and kept us entertained all night. I would definitely recommend this tour, but specifically Dimitri, because he really did go above and beyond by even giving us a lot of other recommendations of things to do in Athens and just being a standup guy. I would recommend him even more for a group of young people because he’s a great conversationalist and knows so much (even thought I’m sure he’d be great with an older crowd as well). Don’t hesitate, definitely book this tour with Dimitri; it will leave your tummies full, put a smile on your faces and even get you tipsy ;) A MUST DO IN ATHENS!!!

The couple of hours with Irini that my sister and I got to spend was one of my favorite parts of visiting Athens. She introduced us to nooks and crannies of the city that we never would have encountered on our own. Yorgos was awesome!!! Would highly recommend! He was so easy to spend time with, felt like we were meeting up with a long-lost friend! We didn't want our night to end. The guide was really nice and helpful. He adjusted to my wishes and we went to see the changing of guards and a nice beautiful church. I took some baklava and sweets back to the hotel. The restaurant for a small diner was a bit Greek McDonalds like. But apparently the average tourist likes this. I was really very disappointed that the guide I choose was changed at the last moment, but I think we would have been better match. But this guide was really nice to step in. If you’re reading this, you’ve come across what I’m willing to bet will be the highlight of your entire vacation. I’ve written maybe 2 reviews in my entire life, but this was such an incredible time, I simply had to. First off, it’s not a “tour”… it’s an incredible night out with what almost immediately feels like a long lost friend. You will have off-menu food you’d never know to order, multiple types of drinks (with the highlight being something you literally can’t order anywhere else), and most importantly, a masterful story-telling new lifelong friend to share many, many laughs with. Our “tour” (my wife + 2 other friends) was so much fun, we literally extended it on the fly and had the absolute night of our lives. Yorgos communicates with ease, makes everyone feel instantly comfortable, takes an interest in connecting with each person, and loves to show everyone a great time. Yorgos is an amazing host! I immediately felt as if I was meeting an old friend. The conversation and laughs flowed over a variety of topics. It was relaxed, very fun and educational. Me and my friend had a 2 hour food tour with Irini and it was absolutely amazing. In addition to being one of the nicest people, Irini was incredibly knowledgeable on the area and gave insight into Athens that you couldn't get from anyone else. After the food tour, I had a new appreciation for the place I was in and it made the rest of my experience in Athens much more enjoyable. The entire food tour was casual and I felt like I had the option to ask as many questions as I could think of, have a great conversation, or just listen as Irini shared great stories and history. I had to leave early due to extreme jet lag, but Dimitri was a wonderful host! I very much enjoyed his selections at our first two stops before I left. He offered to help me find a taxi, but I felt comfortable walking back to our apartment. My husband and our friend said they continued to have a great time after I left. I’d 100% recommend hanging out with Dimitri for an authentic, friendly tour of some local and less touristy establishments. I definitely tried things I wouldn’t have thought to order. I’m a little sad that I missed the end of the experience, but my body just couldn’t last another hour without sleep. We had fun at one of his recommendations tonight. One of our favorite things about this tour was that Dimitri took us to some neighborhood spots instead of trendy, tourist-accessible places. We felt like we got a much better feel of Athens itself this way. The guide answered all of our questions and pointed us in the right direction on what to order. However, no prior reservations were made so with the tour guide and our group we found ourselves going from restaurant to restaurant to find a table. the tour was a little boring.
