Anukool helped us get the most out of our time in Paris. Our group spent 6 hours him during which time he showed us major historical sites, lesser known attractions, and some hidden gems of Paris. He is timely and polite, charismatic and accommodating. He demonstrated encyclopedic knowledge of world history, art, architecture, and French culture. He shared thoughtful insights about the city and its culture. It was simply a joy to explore the city with him because he clearly enjoys doing this. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to maximize their time in Paris and have a fun day walking around the city.

We did the tour on a public holiday, and he was the one who guided us through different streets and places. Along the way and during the tastings, we came to understand a bit more about the culture—not just the culinary side, but also the daily life of the people and their view of the world. I have visited Paris on another two occasions but this visit was certainly the standout and most memorable and I think part of this was because we kicked off our time in Paris with a fabulous walking tour through the streets with Welly as our tour guide. We really loved getting to hear more about the history of this wonderful city and have a local take us through some of the notable but maybe less touristy and less well known sites that were local to Saint Germaine where we stayed. Having a tour flexible to our preferences and from a local gave us a whole new perspective and insights into Paris we personally found to be valuable and something we got more from than a standard hop on hop off tour that is more touristy and covers the sites everyone knows. Welly was also great at sharing information and planning a tour that engaged our children ages 11 and 13 and answering their questions. He was patient with them and his English was easily understood by us Australians with limited French language skills! Lastly he really took note of our interests and preferences during the tour and afterwards sent us a lovely bunch of recommendations crafted to our personal interests that were convenient to where we were staying in terms of restaurants, shopping and places to visit. We found this personalised touch very thoughtful and useful. I am so glad we booked this tour with Welly and believe it really helped us all fall in love with Paris. We will be back again! Welly is flexible! Welly is knowledgeable. Le Professeur Welly took us on a guided tour that included many interesting and beautiful Parisienne landmarks. His historical knowledge of the city and its origins was superb. As a school teacher I was impressed with Welly’s recall of dates of events that have shaped this country and its famous architecture. Many thanks to Welly and WithLocals! We arrived Sunday a bit jetlagged but started our week in Paris with a 5 hour tour with Welly. Everything went extremely well and he customized our tour just as we asked taking us around to "hidden gems." He was always careful to ask about the speed of walking and whether we needed to use the restroom or not. Not just a great tour but also a great guy! We met Welly for a 3 hour tour on our first morning in Paris. Welly curated a walking tour for our family through a series of neighborhoods we were most interested in. This tour was satisfactory but didn’t blow us away. Our guide, Anukool was friendly and had some great historical knowledge. However, we had to put him back on track a few times as he would drift into conversation about sports or travel elsewhere, we really wanted to learn as much as possible about the St. Germain area and the tour was a bit loose / not structured. Anukool also arrived 15 minutes late and we ran almost an hour over time. Which was fine but might’ve left people who had later plans not getting the full experience. Walking tour. Latin District

My wife and I booked an afternoon tour with Anukool around Montmatre. Met Anukool and he is a very knowledgeable and friendly guy who gave us a great tour of the area and told us many things we would not have learned if we had done this on our own. He recommended some great places to visit and eat. Montmatre as a area is well worth visiting and whilst there are the obvious attractions such as Sacre Couer there also many hidden gems.
