Edouard was exactly on time and ready when we arrived at our meeting destination. He was excited and happy for our meeting and gave us a quick synopsis of what he would provide for us this day. He knew Aix as the local that he is and had much to impart to us throughout our walk through town. Friendly, helpful, caring and especially knowledgeable about the local area and the history of this beautiful town. He would add small comments about the sights and recall historical facts offhandedly that were very impressive. A genuine expert in this town, his resident town of course. Highly recommended! He was a welcome addition to our visit to Aix. Edouard the Great
Ted aka Eduoard was a charming and fact filled tour guide and gave us a joyful afternoon including the wine and cheese tasting. We highly recommend him.TED talks with in-depth knowedge
We had a great time with Edouard, not only did he take us to hidden places and local shops in Aix, he also shared detailed information about the city and made recommendations about restaurants and activities in the city. Definitely a great host and a very friendly guide. Edouard was great!
Edouard is an excellent guide. Not just because he knows Aix inside out but because he is good with people. He is very relaxed, paced the tour according to the energy of the group so that we never felt rushed. He was also great at restaurant advice and the hidden gems at the end of our tour were a delight. Would highly recommend. Super informative and great local insight
Eduard was so amazing. Very friendly and wanted to get to know you. Informative about the locale, and really shared some of the interesting details of Aix. Highly highly recommend a tour with this great human being ❤️Enjoyable and personable experience
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the tour with Edouard. He was such a vibe - humorous, so knowledgeable, personable, insightful and patient (we stopped at several points to shop). You could tell he loved and was very proud of Aix. His recommendations for food were on point and he left us falling in love with the city too.
I would recommend Edouard and the tour 100 times over Edouard made me fall in love with Aix
I spent two hours with Edouard and I would highly recommend his tours. He is informative, fun and gives great recommendations. It is so worthwhile doing his tours especially at the start of your trip. Merci Edouard!Great tour!
Overall an unpleasant experience. Our guide did not seem to be well versed in the local history. He chose a meeting point that was very difficult for our taxi to get to. The ride to the meeting point he chose was 20€ from our hotel and only 10€ on the way back from the taxi stand-where we should have met. We spent way too much time at the Cloister tour. All in all a disappointing tour.Aix tour
We booked a private tour and were completely blown away. Édouard was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly well-connected — he seemed to know everyone in town! We loved the blend of Franglais throughout the day (I speak more French than my husband, which added to the fun), and every stop felt like a hidden gem.
Highlights included the most delicious madeleines from Christophe (no line!), unforgettable nougat, cashews from Monsieur Praliné, honey, local confitures, lavender soap, and the best calissons we’ve ever tasted. Lunch at Les Gallinas was outstanding — the lamb tripe was a surprising standout — and we left with a full doggy bag and full hearts.
Édouard added just the right amount of local history and charm to make the day feel both relaxed and enriching. We truly felt like we made a new friend. Highly recommend Édouard and Withlocals for a personalized, delicious, and memorable experience in Aix!An unforgettable day in Aix-en-Provence
We couldn’t have chosen better for our private tour around Aix, than Edouard. He was interesting (sharing stories) and factual and gave us a complete understanding of this beautiful French village/town. We dined out for 3 nights on his personal restaurant recommendations and we were never disappointed! Thank you Edouard.Highly redommended
We had a fabulous tour with Nathalie! She is very knowledgeable and took us to so many amazing spots in Avignon & we loved having lunch at Le verger des Papes!! We made so many memories, especially of our group walking up the hill in the strong winds!! Our group of 8 proud Canadians would highly recommend a tour with Nathalie!!! Cheers!

Ted is hands down the best tour guide in Aix-en-Provence! His deep knowledge of the region’s history, culture, and hidden gems made the experience truly unforgettable. Ted’s passion for sharing the beauty of Aix is evident in every detail, from the charming anecdotes he shares to the off-the-beaten-path spots he introduced us to. His warm personality and professionalism made the entire tour feel both informative and personal. If you’re visiting Aix-en-Provence, booking a tour with Ted is an absolute must. Highly recommend!Great guide
We had an amazing tour of the Mary Magdalene cave and St Maximin Basilica with Nathalie, who really took wonderful care of us! We knew that the steep trail up to the cave in the mountains would be a challenge for my elderly dad but Nathalie was so patient and encouraging that it was more fun than challenging. Once we made it to the top, we had an incredible experience, caught the last half of the daily mass which was beautiful, and took in the stunning views from the mountain views. Nathalie then arranged a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant and had time to visit the basilica and shops and tour the local villages. We were impressed by her knowledge, energy and consideration as she made sure we were well taken care of the entire day. We really felt like VIPs on our private tour and would strongly recommend her to anyone planning a tour in South France. Thank you Nathalie!Wonderful tour guide in south of France

Wonderful guide
Very knowledgeable and passionate about the city. Tried to get to know the group. Excellent English. Offered many suggestions of restaurants and sites to see.
However:
Was supposed to be from 10:30-1:30 and instead was started early at 10AM but finished at 12pm. Normally this would be fine since vacation time is limited but later saw him with another group exploring the town. He did mention his family was coming to visit but specified it was the day after.
I feel my time was short changed.
Tastings:
1- Coffee
2- Nougout sampling (which is also offered for free if you do it yourself)
3- Pralines (which is also offered for free if you do it yourself)
4- Madeleins (was supposed to be a variety pack of different flavored ones but he mistakenly ordered 6 of the original and when he asked the store about it they questioned why he did not do it his usual way. He made no attempt to correct this and simply said sorry)
5- Market honey stand sampling (which is also offered for free if you do it yourself)
6- Market produce stand figs (which is also offered for free if you do it yourself)
7- One piece of chocolate
8-15 - A charcuterie board with 4 meats and 6 cheeses, and 1 glass of wine (per him usually only 5 cheeses)
He uses e-cigarettes during the in between time but does a good job of distancing himself when doing so.
So yes, technically he gave more than 10 tastings. What was presented however, in my opinion is not what the spirit of a food tour is supposed to be. For nearly 100 euro a head, definitely not recommended. 15 tastings but not what I was expecting
Edouard was charming. His English was perfect. His overall knowledge of the city - its history, its notable buildings, its shops and shopkeepers - was exceptional.
Edouard was very knowledgeable and personable. Our tour gave us amazing insight into the history of the city. We would highly recommend this tour,
From new Canadians friends Brian and Nancy. 10
Edouard was a great guide, giving us a great introduction to this beautiful city with plenty of interesting insights and stories. Thank you!Great introduction to Aix
We had a memorable afternoon food tour with Ted. ❤️ You can see he has great relationships with all the purveyors based on how they greet each other. 🙌 He is super knowledgeable about Aix and very personable. I highly recommend a tour with Ted Aix. You won’t be disappointed. Ted Aix is the best!
Edouard was our guide for a couple of hours on our second day visiting Aix-en-Provence. My husband and his parents are French and I. They speak French only and I English with bad French. Edouard spoke French all the time with English only when I requested a translation to help with my french. I requested a historic tour. We wanted to learn about the history of the city and visit its historic sites and we had a great tour filled with interesting information, sprinkled with tastings of local specialties. Edouard is calm, patient, happy and very knowledgeable of this beautiful ville. I highly recommend him! Merci Edouard! Best bilingual guide in Aix-en-Provence
Edouard gave us a great overview of the town and included a few stops from his tasting tour. It was very worthwhile!Great tour!
We had a great time with Ted exploring Aix. He was an excellent host and gave the perfect introduction to the area. After a nice and informative walk around Aix we were treated to a cake and coffee at one of Ted's favourite spots. He even customized our tour to cater for our 1 year old and to help us practice our French. Ted's passion for Aix helped us appreciate the area and we're very glad we picked him for the tour. Thanks Ted! We'll see you next time!Great Value. Enjoyable Tour!
I booked this tour with Edouard/Ted for myself and my two adult sons (ages 23 and 18). It was a great experience as Ted took us around to experience some classic provençal fare. Ted was lovely and his love of Aix made us enjoy Aix even more. From his favorite boulangerie, to tours of the markets and a lunch spot he chose specifically that he thought my sons would enjoy it was time well spent! Ted also provided many recommendations on where to eat including Mammo which we absolutely loved!Great tour with my sons!
