We did two tours with Marten while in Amsterdam. The first was a city tour where he gave us a lot of background on the history of Amsterdam. He showed us a lovely neighborhood not far from the city center but much less busy and chaotic which we returned to after the tour because we liked it so much. We also did a tour at the Rijksmuseum with Marten which was really enjoyable. The museum is very large and may feel overwhelming so I really appreciated Marten's approach to showing the history of Amsterdam and the Netherlands through art. Overall, would highly recommend Marten. He was fun person to chat with and super knowledgeable. Thank you Marten!! Great time in Amsterdam with Marten!

My wife and I had limited time in Amsterdam, as we were only staying 1 day and flying out the next afternoon. Not really knowing what to do or see, we booked this tour. Olga did an amazing job walking us around the main areas and then off the beaten paths where there is a more local vibe. She showed us several preferred location where you will get local prices and food / drinks - to include a bar, a bakery, and a cheese / bread shop. You also get away from the tourist areas which is what we prefer to do. It was a wonderful time and we highly recommend this for anyone staying in Amsterdam - if you have a longer stay, do this tour early on and you can ensure you get them most out of your trip. We had a great time with Arunabha- he was knowledgeable, friendly and good with the kids. My only constructive feedback is this tour would have been more accurately named "Basic tour of Amsterdam" or "Highlights of Amsterdam." There weren't really any hidden gems. We got pretty much the exact same tour on the canal cruise we took. As a guide, he was great and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for something different than a basic tour I am sure he can accommodate if you send him a message beforehand. So to sum it up we really has a great time and liked him a lot, just wanted some more "hidden gems", meaning more locally known spots we wouldn't necessarily see or know about. Marten was full of stories, interesting facts and funny anecdotes as we walked around parts of Amsterdam that I doubt we would have gotten to on our own. Marten was prompt, and our time with him seemed to fly past - an indication of how absorbed we were, as we reimagined an Amsterdam of old or projected into the future of where the city is going. We arrived in Amsterdam late on a Thursday afternoon and traveled with Christa for three hours the following morning. She was a wealth of information. Walking with her through the streets of Amsterdam gave us a helpful introduction and suggestions of where to return. She offered information about the history of the city from the perspective of a local that we may not have learned on our own. The highlight was eating lunch at the American Cafe while listening to Christa play the piano. Her skills and energy were impressive. My family of two adults and three teenagers took a walking tour of Amsterdam with Sebastian in February 2025. Before the tour, Sebastian was very easy to communicate with and flexible with the arrangements. From the start of the tour Sebastian made an effort to understand what we were interested in and what type of tour we would like. He gave us a good mix of local knowledge, history, culture and interesting facts. The tour covered a lot of ground but moved at a comfortable pace. Our kids needed a food break before the planned stop and Sebastian had no problem changing things around to keep everyone fueled up.
