This was such a beautiful way to introduce a group of our friends to Javea old city. We were a group of 4 couples, 3 of whom were in Javea for the first time. We had a beautiful lunch, with stops at 3 different establishments to sample the local specialties and learn something about the city of Javea, the local customs, and the Spanish lifestyle.
Each stop coincided with the main courses of a meal: starter, main, and dessert. Each place had it's own character and atmosphere. Our guide Arianna was pleasant, informative, and also aware she was in the midst of 4 couples who were catching up with each other, so she allowed us to socialize amongst ourselves, but also did a nice job of explaining each dish and gently keeping us on schedule. While en route to the next establishment she pointed out buildings or monuments of historical interest.
It was just a fantastic afternoon. I'll definitely do it again and recommend it whole-heartedly to others. Beautiful introduction to Javea

We like to book food tours at the beginning of a stay in a new city, and Arianne didn't disappoint. We sampled five eateries we'll return to, and had a dozen others recommended to try later. One of us can't eat gluten, and the other wants to try everything, so we were happy that she could choose places that would work for both of us. We'll be repeat customers when family visit in a month, and can highly recommend.Great intro to the city

With only 2 days to explore Alicante, we wanted to ensure that we obtained an initial introduction from a local that could show us all the key and hidden sights that would leave us with a taste of the city and also inspire us regarding what to explore on our own. We had a late afternoon stroll around the city with Andrea uncovering those unexpected facts that we would never have discovered on our own. Walking pleasantly broken up with Tapas stops where Andrea introduced us to local dishes and wines that we wouldn’t have had the courage to order ourselves. Als cadeau hadden wij van de kinderen een stadstour in Denia gekregen. Op zaterdagochtend om 10 uur afgesproken. Arianne, onze gids, was ruim op tijd en herkende ons aan onze Nederlandse uitstraling. Eerst kennis gemaakt met elkaar en toen op weg. Bij de haven begon onze drie uur durende tocht door Denia. Alle hoogtepunten zijn voorbij gekomen. Kerken, kasteel, bars, bodega, hotel met bijzondere entourage, etcetera. Alles zeer de moeite waard. Erg geanimeerde gesprekken over alles wat het leven maakt zoals het is.
Kortom een aanrader voor iedereen die hier in Denia verblijft.

What a splendid day with Andrea - she was very knowledgeable, her English impeccable, and most of all she was great fun! She took us all over the city - showing us many out-of-the-way places that we would never have seen otherwise and always with a background story! She even offered us a local drink to finish off our tour! She was very understanding when we had unfortunately to finish the tour a little bit earlier than expected because we had to check out of our hotel. Last June on a slightly cloudy day we did a very nice hike with 6 friends. This hike was guided by Arianne. She knows the area well and that certainly adds value. It seems simple, but without a guide you can easily lose your way. The route is quite tough. And if you are also sporty, you can do it. After about an hour of ascending and descending via a path with phenomenal views, you arrive at Cova Tallada. A beautiful cave with a very nice view over the ocean. What a gift. The route then goes up towards the port of Javea. Which also provides beautiful views. A very nice varied tour. Highly recommended to do with Arianne. Our guide Arianne from the get go made us feel very welcome. We experienced the exciting and different food options around Denia and also enjoyed a great selection of wine. We were also able to explore Denia along the way which really expanded our knowledge of the area and was very helpful for the remainder of our trip. My husband and I planned this tour as part of our honeymoon, Arianne was both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. From the moment we started the tour it was clear we were in good hands. Every stop had been thought out with lots of interesting facts along the way and it was like having an extended glorious lunch with a friend. The food and wine were delicious and gave us some fantastic options to return to during our stay in Denia. Plus we had a lot of fun and laughter during the tour which really made it special. Cannot recommend enough it’s a most do for any foodie!

Andrea Silvina showed up promptly at the meeting point and took us, a group of six men, to a food journey of Alicante without the hassle of driving or walking far. We got to experience different wines, meet, cheese and fish in different locations at the market and in the down town area. All matched up with stories of the area and the culture.

Myself, my husband, and our two young children (2 and 4 years old) went on a food tour with Silvina in Alicante and it was fabulous. We ate amazing food,drank delicious wine (or juice for the kids), and learned a lot about the culture, food, and wine of Alicante. Even my sometimes difficult to please children enjoyed the tour and my 4 year old said it was his favorite part of our whole trip. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Silvina! We had a really wonderful introduction to Dénia thanks to Arianne. Taking the recommendation of a previous traveller on one of Arianne’s tours, we booked our tour within the first few days of our arrival in Dénia. Arianne was very friendly and welcoming, and generous in her recommendations and sharing of local knowledge. We sampled some great food and drinks in several stops around the city, and Arianne also weaved in the history and culture of the area through the carefully chosen stops on the tour and the walking route that revealed the various landmarks and features. Arianne led a tour for our tenth wedding anniversary that we loved! We enjoyed the variety and she selected some of the best food we've ever had in Spain (fresh cuttlefish!). Andrea really made the tour worthwhile. I requested a personalized offer and it was so much more than I thought! We really enjoyed every moment of the tasting tour. Every part was very interesting and fun.
The casual stroll though the downtown of Denia was relaxing and informative. I feel that we really learned a lot during the tour.
We loved all the food and wine. Every moment was well organized yet, at the same time, felt very spontaneous.
I have a severe shellfish allergy, but didn't feel worried at all with Arianne. She is such an intelligent tour guide; she really put our minds at ease.
The only regret that we have is that we didn't do this tour earlier in our visit. We highly recommend that this is one of the first activities you do during your visit.
The tour didn't just include the information of the food and the wine downtown, she had a wealth of information of what to do in the surrounding area.
I guess we'll have to go back and experience more of what the area has to offer. This should be your first activity.

I just returned from a trip to Spain, and one of the highlights was the private food tour we had when visiting the Costa Blanca. The 10 tastings of Denia were absolutely amazing. We tried so many different foods and drinks during our tour, including calamares and cocas in a wood-fired oven, fresh fish straight off the boat and more! We had quite a lot Withlocals 10 tastings tours already in many different cities around the world. All were great, but his food tour was definitely one of the best! We’ve been to Denia before as it is a lovely city with a nice center, harbour and beach. Now we had the chance to do a 10 tastings tour here, so looking at our past experience this was an easy choice.
The food was great, from local oysters to cocas and artichokes. And it was definitely next level because of our host Arianne who made the tour super enjoyable. I recently went on this tour in Denia with guide Arianne. We had such an amazing time together, and we learned so much about the culture as well as the cuisine! This 10 tastings tour of Denia was exactly what I needed after a long day at work. We were able to customize it based on our preferences and dietary needs. The private tour meant it was only us and our host which was great because we got personalized attention throughout the day.

The 10 tastings of Denia tour was an amazing experience. The food was incredible, and we got to see parts of the city that we would have never seen otherwise. The tour was well organized and the fact is was private gave us the freedom to go around on our pace and visiting the places we liked. I highly recommend going on this tour if you're visiting Denia. We had a great time with Arianne in Denia. What an unbelievably nice food-tour she gave us. We got this tour from our children for our birthday and Arianne knew that. I guess that our children told this when they booked the tour. She did everything to give this tour a festive touch. Withlocals is talking about personalized tours. Yes, this was top personalized. We enjoyed this tour so much. Everything was right. Denia a very beautiful place on the Costa Blanca, where Arianne could tell a lot about. A beautiful walk through this place and meanwhile eaten delicious snacks at the local catering industry. The tastiest local dishes were served to us from delicious oysters to the tastiest ham croquettes to a great steak. And let's not forget the matching drinks, chosen with great care. It became a great, festive day for us, partly due to Arianne's passion and the personalized food and tour. Especially the happy birthday song in the oyster-bar, started by Arianne and the waiters.
