We spent 4 fantastic hours on a walking tour with wonderful Sebastian. We saw such a variety of areas and sights in Cape Town and felt we had a much fuller understanding of the historical backdrop, as well as a unique insight into the city's present, and the daily life of a local. Sebastian was a lot of fun and made sure the tour was perfectly tailored to us. We came away feeling we now knew Cape Town much better than we ever would have discovering it on our own. We're glad we booked it for near the start of our trip. He shared some of his personal experience during some turbulent times, and how these experiences were culturally ingrained in young people. I enjoyed the castle visit. It was a absolutely pleasure you get WithLocal to support us with a guided trip though Cape Town. Theo was more than a guide, he was our best buddy in down town Cape Town. We enjoyed every minute with Theo who took us around the heart of Cape Town and shared his immense treasure of insides with us: history, politics, architecture, social issues, in addition an introduction into local botanics and inside stories over stories…. We just returned from our first time in Cape Town. We did an amazing guided walking tour with our host Sebastian. We hightly recommend doing this tour. From the beginning to the end, Sebastian was outstanding. He shared his expertise of the history and city's vibrant culture making this experience a truly memorable one. He gave of recommendations of things to see and places to eat during our stay. Sebastian took us on a journey and he exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time exploring this beautiful city. We saw places we would probably not have otherwise seen. Our only suggestion is to do the tour at the front end of your stay. We did ours closer to the end of our time there and wished we had done the tour sooner. A Must Do!

I met Rushdi for a solo tour of Cape Town. I have travelled all over the world but was slightly anxious about walking around the city on my own. Rushdi immediately put me at ease and I felt very safe throughout the whole tour. We truly enjoyed our time spent with Theo, even if it was a little different from the advertised experience. Rather than walking for 4 hours we were standing about half that time in the castle alone (a little too long for our taste). However, he was able to provide wonderful insights in South African Society, politics and economics, which we truly enjoyed. Not sure we saw many of the promised "hidden gems", but the meeting point itself was already a worthwhile experience with fantastic coffee and baked goods. Overall a great half day out and a fantastic host sharing his stories and insights with us. Thanks Theo!very entertaining
