My family of four had a fantastic tour of Cusco with Fabrizio. He absolutely reflected our energy and pace. He paused and gave us time to catch our breath when necessary and filled us with history, culture and stories of Cusco and the Incans. He engaged wonderfully with our 24 and 20 year old sons and helped expand their horizons with appreciation of Peru and her culture. Our time together with Fabrizio has been the best part of our trip. We had one of the best private tours with Fabrizio. He showed us all of great sights in Cusco, was very interactive, and taught us lots about Incan history. He even switched up the tour half way through to show us more things that we were interested in. He’s a very friendly and genuine guy and it was amazing going on the tour with him. Fabrizio is a fantastic guide! It was an easy meet up and he took us to various spots around Cusco. He gave us an in-depth tour of the market and taught us about parts of the culture through this experience. We tasted fruits and chocolates and learned how various produce and products are used in daily life. A wonderful experience for our senses and mind. I adore With Locals and recommend it to all my friends that travel. To use a baseball analogy, this tour was a "swing and a miss." Harry was friendly, kind, and knew his way around Cusco. We visited the Market (drank juice), a Catholic church (not the Cusco Cathedral), then visited Three Monkeys cafe and sipped lattes. Our conversations were thoughtful, lively, and light on history and facts. I was ready to learn about Cusco's rich history and place in the Inca Empire but instead got a lot of sweeping statements and generalizations. Most of all I was extremely disappointed we only walked past the Temple of the Sun where Harry paused briefly to tell me, "supposedly that turret was once covered in gold." And off we went. I believe Harry's more suited for the foodie tour over history. But I'm not deterred, I'll definitely use With Locals again.Friendly, but not what I'd hoped

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Fernando. He was great and showed us several interesting spots and was very interesting and informative. Fernando is highly recommended. The negative part is that we signed up for the tour that included a local tasting and entrance to the convent museum. That was not communicated to Fernando as he said they were not included. Also, the app did not work. It did not recognize my credentials after repeated tries, so there was no way to communicate through the app. Great guide; poor logistics

It was extremely frustrating because we had to wait for 30 minutes to be ensured a full refund, which we haven’t received yet. Fernando knows every meter of Cusco, and his knowledge of its history and perspective on the Inca empire, and the culture clash between the Spanish and the indigenous people, gives you so much insight into this unique and beautiful city. Fabrizo was very flexible when we had to change our tour date due to other commitments. He picked us up at our hotel to start the tour which was very nice. We went to two restaurants, the first where we had fantastic adobo and chicarrón and enjoyed a local beer. We then went to another restaurant and had picarones. Delicious and we were so full. Plenty of delicious food. But what we didn’t know was that we wouldn’t get the tastings that were listed on the itinerary. It felt a little more like we went out for dinner and dessert rather than sampling a bunch of things. But it was still all very good. If we had known the change of date/time would have changed the food itinerary, we may have considered cancelling or going with another guide. It’s fun to sample multiple things. Fabrizio was a very knowledgeable guide. He knew a lot about the city and answered all of our questions. A bit more quiet and not as gregarious as our experience with other tour guides, but still provided us a good tour and experience. Nice tour of Cusco and great food

We really enjoyed our time with Harry. He was friendly and shared information about Cusco and his personal history along the way. However, we expected to have an appetizer at each of our stops. We had none. Harry brought potato chips which were great, but we expected more food than that. Additionally, there seemed to be a bit of lack of planning. The 2nd place we went was closed (long term) and the 3rd was full. Great time but not what we expected

I had a great time with Angelo. His English is very good, and he is a good conversationalist, telling about the background of the dishes, and overall engaging. He definitely got me to try foods I had not yet tried, and I had been in Peru for 10 days by then. He also gave me some good restaurant recommendations for later. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip, so you can learn about what you might like to try throughout your stay. My only complaint is the website advertised 3 hours and 10 tastings, and it was more like 2 hours and 5-6 tastings. Great experience overall

Angelo was a fantastic guide. The meeting point was easy to find and he was there at the agreed time. He is very knowledgeable about the local area and has incredible experience working in the restaurant business all over the world. We had a personal emergency, that had nothing to do with the tour, and were unable to complete the tour. However, Angelo was super helpful in getting us the help we needed. We were very grateful because we would have had a hard time communicating on our own in this situation. Afterwards he even offered to continue the tour even though we were beyond the time the tour originally would have ended. Angelo is very professional, friendly, and genuinely a great person who we felt very comfortable with. We would 100% recommend taking his food tour!!What an experience!!
