We had a great time getting to know Dublin with Eamon! It's one thing to read about history and quite another to stand by pillars with chunks knocked out while someone points to the spot in the river from where boats were blasting at them! In addition to history nerdery, we learned about the habits and traditions of Trinity students, the status of seagulls (I would never have guessed they're struggling based on their cheekiness), and where to find traditional music. I would definitely recommend a tour with Eamon.Fantastic intro to Dublin

Brendan ist ein exzellenter Kenner der irischen Geschichte sowie der Stadt Dublin. Dabei spielt es keine Rolle in welchem Jahrhundert er sich mit seinen Ausführungen befindet - auch die Probleme der Jetzt-Zeit kann er umfänglich kommentieren. Er hat uns die Kälte vergessen lassen ! Für den Preis erwarte ich allerdings Besonderheiten, die eine „private tour“ von einer normalen Gruppenführung abhebt. Gerade die kleine Besucherzahl eröffnet die Möglichkeit, Plätze und Stätten zu besuchen, die es für große Gruppen nicht gibt ( z. B. Kirchtürme, victorian houses, Räume in Trinity College etc.). Auch sollte nicht im Voucher stehen, dass im Preis ein Snack inkludiert ist, der aber nicht angeboten wird. Die Bewertung des Preis-Leistung Verhältnisses fällt nicht ganz so schlecht aus, da Brendans Erzählkunst einiges kompensiert hat.Brendan - ein “Muss” in Dublin

Look no further, David is a magnificent guide, We were a group of four -two with walking difficulties. We walked the City while David spoke of the history of the City and Country. We touched down in Dublin just before lunchtime after 29 hours of travel from Sydney, and our recipe for avoiding jet lag is to stay awake until at least the early evening. We usually achieve with some brisk walking around our destination, which also helps us get our bearings. Since our time in Ireland is not quite as long as we’d like, we decided to kill two (or is it three?) birds with the one stone by taking a guided walking tour on that first afternoon. We chose David from the list of guide profiles as he seemed the best fit for us, and we couldn’t have been happier. David has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Irish history in general and Dublin’s history in particular, which he drew upon (along with songs and anecdotes tailored to our interests) to weave a fascinating story over several hours that went well beyond anything we could have gleaned from our own research. Ruairi took us on a 3 hrs footwlak through along the highlights of Dublin in the city center and through side-roads you don't see on hopp-on / hopp-off tours. And Ruairi had good storys to tell and he has deep knowledge about the history behind all the buildings we were passing. We had a wonderful experience with Derek! After sharing that we’d been to the city before and were really interested in seeing some truly unique locations, we gave Derek a free pass to take us anywhere he’d like. He did not disappoint. We saw some really interesting spots and learned lots of fun facts that we didn’t know…even about some of the Dublin icons we had visited already. Art, history, food, music, whatever! You name it and he seemed to know a lot of obscure but super interesting trivia! We had a really fun time seeing Derek’s side of Dublin and appreciated the time he spent with us. We absolutely loved our morning with Eamon. A wonderful warm and friendly welcome. We are two older parents and a 17yo who is fascinated by history and politics. For the three hours we spent walking (with a refreshment stop mid-way at Grogan's) he was able to weave in fascinating Irish historic and political background details for our son, as well as incorporating literature, theatre, language and Georgian architecture stuff for me. Lots of context given that helped me connected a few things I already knew but we got lots of interesting detail on top.
