From start to finish, Noureddine was one of the best guides I’ve ever met. He was really responsive with messages and planned an amazing day for us in Fes. He organised a car to take us to many locations outside of the Medina, including a wonderful panoramic view point and a pottery cooperative. We then had a walking tour of the Medina where we tried local food, visited many craft workshops to see people at work, and had the best mint tea I’ve ever tasted. We would never have found these hidden gems on our own and we are so grateful for the fun and informative day that we had with Noureddine. He tailored the day to suit us and it was clear that so many people around the Medina really respected him and warmly welcomed us. He was so friendly and we were looked after throughout. We booked our tour with Noureddine, and what a fantastic decision that was! Even before we started our trip, he gave us tips and advice that were extremely helpful for preparing for our trip. On the day of the tour, he was punctual, and we could already tell the day would be amazing. What an understatement; the day was fabulous. He took us to amazing places in Fes, but my favorite was the tea place. If you book a trip with him, it's a must, even if you are not a tea person. Because I wasn't really a tea person until that day, now I wish that tea was near my house... Well, after our fantastic tour, Noureddine stayed in contact, making sure to help us along our journey through Morocco. He answered my questions, even though he didn't have to, and gave us tips on places to go. I really recommend booking the tour with him. Noureddine ist ein extrem toller Guide, er kennt jede Ecke von Fes und weiss super viel. Die Tour mit ihm war spannend, interessant und wir haben ganz viele Orte kennengelernt die man sonst nicht finden würde. Er zeigt dir sowohl die bekannten „must sees“ aber führt dich auch an die Orte an denen du nur Locals antriffst. Wir haben sehr feines und authentisches Streetfood gegessen. Nourredine is a fantastic guide and a totally lovely person! We spent a day with him visiting Fes, learning about the history, the culture, the architecture--everything we were interested in. We visited the ramparts and the Jewish section where we learned so much about wedding protocols. We saw all the amazing artisanal areas. I think that each time Nourredine must have called ahead to a special contact of his, because there was always someone particular to take charge of us and show us the inner workings of the craft: of the pottery and mosaics, of the leather tannery. We haed fun bargaining! We opted for street food and he took us to a great place he knew. Time flew by and by the end of the day we felt we had had a real glimpse into the complexity and richness of this amazing city. Thank you Nourredine!!!The best guide we've ever had!

Noureddine took four of us on the Hidden Gems tour. It was fantastic! We told Noureddine we were not very interested in shopping and asked him to focus on the history of Fes. He respected our wishes and took us on a tour of everything we wanted to see - and everything we didn’t realize we wanted to see. We began by driving to all the important sites outside the Old Medina, including the park, a stop to see potters and mosaicists at work (fascinating!), and a stop at a fortress for a wonderful panorama of the city. He took us to the New Medina where we walked around the Jewish Quarter and stopped at the synagogue. Noureddine explainined what we were seeing as we went along. After that, we entered the Old Medina by foot. Lucky for us Noureddine started his career as a food guide, and it was time for lunch. He took us to his favorite guy for fava bean soup, then found a table for us and went to pick up delicious specialties to bring back to us. We had a vegetarian in our group, and Noureddine easily made accommodations. After that we visited the Tanneries and the madrasa, and many additional stops. Throughout the day, Noureddine spoke knowledgeably about the history of Fes, the Islamic religion, local food, art, artisans. He is an incredibly kind and lovely person. After the tour he texted me a handful of times with recommendations since we still had three days in Fes. I cannot recommend Noureddine highly enough for whatever type of tour you would like in Fes. We had a wonderful tour with Noureddine yesterday. We couldn't have asked for a better guide: first of all he has been very kind to come and pick us up very close to our accomodation (it is very easy to get lost in those narrow streets;) ) We walked through the most hidden streets, so that he was able to explain us something about the structure of the houses, the 5 essential elements of a medina etc. out of the loudness of the busy streets. We seized this opportunity indeed also to ask about a lot of our curiosities about life here etc. Then we crossed the street that divides the former tunisian quartier to the spanish one and we entered in the different souks: the fruits and vegetable market, the leather and dying souk, the copper one.. he was so nice to lead us in one of the madrasa explaining everything in a detailed way. Then we also visited a former "founduk" and a carpet and silk, cotton and wool workshop (amazing). We had then the best mint tea we have ever tried in this tiny place that for sure we wouldnt have found without him, it is very hidden and on the top of a building. The guy there was so fun and kind to let us smell all the herbs he picks up to make then the tea. Towards the end our guide pointed us the tannery we were interested in and then led us into the street food area where we had delicious meat, sardines and kind of potato meatballs. Overall, Noureddine spent with us way more time then expected and really fulfilled our expactations 100%! (Btw, we are tour guides ourselves so we completely understand every little side of the job). Completely recommended!We couldn't have asked for a better guide!

Noureddine was unbelievably good from start to finish. His communication prior was thorough and clear. The tour itself was incredibly informative and nothing was too much trouble. We asked loads of questions and so we overran by almost 2 hours, and offered to cut things out as a result, but he would not hear of it. We never once felt at all rushed. We cannot recommend Noureddine highly enough- you will not be disappointed if you book with him!!!Outstanding in every way!!!

We had spent the day before seeing some of Fes independently and he was more than happy to tailor the tour to our interests and take us through some of the lesser visited areas. As well as the usual information about Fes that you would expect, throughout the tour Noureddine took the time to point out small details of interest providing local insights into the city, whether it was unique architectural details, cultural observations, or tips for navigating the medina. We had a wonderful food tour with Noureddine in Fes. He was communicative, knowledgeable, and fun to walk around the Medina with. He is a former travel agent and certified tour guide through Morocco's Ministry of Tourism. He made sure we had a clear meeting time & place, and when he arrived he provided us with bags for extra food, tissues, hand sanitizer, and hand wipes to use throughout the tour. He was also sure to ask us what we were most interested in hearing about, and he provided us with a mix of history and cuisine, as we asked. We started at the Blue Gate, and made our way deep into the Medina over the course of about 3.5 hours, stopping at various stalls along the way for bites to eat. Noureddine answered all of our questions, and introduced us to several people along the way. We had plenty of stops (at least 10), and he gave us options at each stall as to what we were most interested in trying. We tried everything from nougat and olives to mint tea and kefta sandwiches. The variety of food was wonderful, as was the information Noureddine provided along the way. We did the tour the night we arrived in Fes, and it was the perfect way to orient ourselves (as much as is possible!) in the Old Medina. We would recommend a tour with Noureddine to anyone!A highlight of our trip to Fes!

He was very informative, telling us all about the history and intricacies of the Medina while we walked around and saw the sights. We had a wonderful time with Noureddine. He asked us what our preferences were and really took this into account to lake the tour interesting for both us as our teenagers. I had the impression we saw all the interesting places, but without queue and with private entrance to some beautiful terraces overseeing the tanneries and the university. We were so grateful to have Noureddine guide us. We were two female travelers who had an unpleasant experience with another aggressive guide from our hotel the prior night. Luckily, we had Noureddine the next day who was the exact opposite. He had a kind and gentle demeanor. He took the time to listen to what WE wanted to do and see in order to customize our experience. He only took us to trusted and vetted artisanal vendors who were true masters of their craft. When we decided to linger in a shop or two, Noureddine waited patiently. The Medina was very hectic but we never felt rushed or pressured. Of note, Noureddine is a LICENSED guide (we found out that not all “guides” are licensed) and knew the history and culture of the Medina. In the end, he was so generous with his time that he even joined us for lunch where he explained the local cuisine. Thanks, Noureddine. Wow, there isn't enough kind words I can say about Noureddine! I booked a tour with him a little over a week before I arrived in Fes, and Noureddine immediately reached out to me to ask about any interests or specifications I would like during the tour (such as showing us a fabulous view into Kairaouine Mosque from a rooftop, rather than from the entry gates, where many other non-Muslim tourists caught only a glimpse). Throughout the trip (we went to several other cities first), Noureddine checked up on me and whenever I had questions about Fes (such as where to make dinner reservations) or other additions to the tour, he was quick to respond and adjust the tour! During the tour, he was incredibly informative, taking us through the winding streets in the city of his birth. He knows the small alleys like the back of his hand- we would've been lost without him! He went well over our allotted tour time to make sure we saw everything and were satisfied! He had so many interesting tidbits about Fes, and it wasn't a typical droning history lesson. Not only did we come away learning about Fes's past, but also its present and the lives of the Fassis. Plus, he had many years of experience working in the tourism industry before withlocals. After our tour, in which he walked us towards our pick up location, he scheduled a pick-up for us to see a pottery workshop the next day. We spend almost the whole day with Noureddine in the medina with our 2 kids (7 &11) and we all loved it. Noureddine has a lot of knowlegde to share and also made it attractive to our kids to enjoy all the hours of walking and listening. So much to see, smell, eat, discover. His english is perfect and we learned a lot. Definately highly recommended, because without a guide the medina is a proper maze where you easily get lost (no google there to help). Noureddine was gracious, on time, and informative. We got a bowl we went to the Medina because 50 Ramadan and it was a Friday most things were closed, but we managed to find the synagogue and walk through the Medina, which always seems to be partially open. Noureddine is an excellent guide. Even before we met, he offered me some suggestions on things we could go see the day before our tour! We did the full day tour with him and even though it was out of our small travel budget, I felt it was more than worth it. To start with, he rearranged our meeting point to be close to where we were staying which I thought was very kind and considerate given how tricky it can be to navigate your way around. He and his driver took us to the Royal Palace, the fortress on top of the hill, the jewish quarters and to a pottery place where a representative from the shop showed us around and we could see the artisans working on items in various stages. Of course, there was a shop where we could purchase items at the end but it was not a pushy sale at all and they had many beautiful items. After that, we went on foot around the medina and Noureddine explained all the various areas, about their culture, food and many other things. We stopped at a bakery where the locals bring their bread to be baked, a hamman (he explained their rituals around that), a cloth weaver, the famous leather tannery and a place that makes argon oil amongst other things. I was intrigued by the muslim wedding traditions which Noureddine explained patiently in great detail. He took us for a "snack" which was more of a lunch for us. He was really respectful of the fact that we don't eat meat and found delicious eggplant, potato cakes, bean soups, and sardines. It was a real treat! There were other places that we stopped but I can't remember them all. I never felt rushed and he often asked if we wanted to explore a place further or continue on. At the end of the day, he walked us all the way back to our place which we told him several times, was not necessary but we really appreciated that he did. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a tour. The medina can be an overwhelming place and having a tour made us feel much more comfortable.Excellent guide - really enjoyed our tour!

We had a brilliant day with Noureddine, he look us all around the medina and showed us all of the must see spots as well as local favourites and places with very good quality souvenirs.
