Thomas is an engaging knowledgeable guy born in and rooted in the culture of Genoa. He structured the afternoon well around the interests we had declared. He even informed us the morning after of which Palazzos were open on a bank holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour Highlights and Hidden Gems tour of Genoa. Nefset was able to adjust the tour to suit our requests and ended the afternoon by visiting the sailing ship Amerigo Vespucci which was only in dock for a few days. Thomas is an amazing guide: smart, funny, super knowledgeable and passionate about his home town of Genoa. There was no topic "off limits" with Thomas and he seemed to have an answer to every question -- from medieval history to tech start-ups and everything in between. Thomas is a born and raised Genoan who loves his city and his tour exemplifies that affection and extensive knowledge of its history. We had a delightful walk around the interesting nooks and crannies of the city as well a stop for two "must eats" of Genoa. We (a group of four friends) had Thomas show us around Genova for three hours. Some of us were new to the town, others hadn't been there for some years. The first impression you get of Thomas during the tour is that he is a true Genovese. He knows Genova's history and is up on its current events. He clearly also enjoys sharing his insights and experiences. Trying to navigate the hilly streets efficiently without a native on hand is a challenge, given that the topography includes streets, cable cars and elevators. Thomas not only steered us to the tourist attractions, but also introduced us to the neighborhood he grew up in. Thomas was flexible in adjusting the tour to our preferences and generous with his time. We definitely recommend having him show you around this beautiful city. We had a most wonderful day out with Nefset. She was warm, friendly and a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable and shared so much information with us. Nefset was friendly and eager to please. However, it would have more enjoyable if she made more of an effort to speak to all four of us instead of just the person walking next to her. We had a blast. Nefset was extremely knowledgeable, energetic, and easygoing. She was able to change the tour without any notice and customize it to our desire to experience Genoa like a local.
