We were delighted to have Phuc guide us to several key places in Hoi An, including the Japanese Bridge, the Fujian Temple, the Old House of Tan Ky with water marks of the flooding, a silk shop that showed the life cycle of the silk worms to silk, and the market. During the tour, he was very response to our questions. In addition, after the walk, he continued to provide us insights into locations for eating Hoi An specialties or where to find key crafts people. Thuy was one of the best guides that I have experienced. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of hoian and the tour was a great mix of history , food and local markets . I did the tour with my husband and 9 yo son. She was extremely patient with all my sons questions questions and was ever smiling and accomodating. We had a great time touring Hoi A with Robert. He took care of everything from start to finish. We were picked up at our hotel in Da Nang promptly to make our way to Hoi An and dropped off at the expected time. Along the way, Robert shared information about the surroundings we were passing by and shared his own experience living in Vietnam with us. Once we reached Hoi An, Robert was really prepared. We started off visiting a tailor shop where he knew some of the staff. This was such a fun place. We all got measured and had design sessions to get custom clothes made, from there Robert took us all over Hoi An, stopping for coffee, crepes on the street, whatever we wanted he helped us find. He took us through the main historical sites and shared great detail on the history of the area and the Vietnamese and Chinese influences. He helped us avoid getting too tangled up with the hoards of tourists that flock to Hoi An in the evenings and got us out of there before it became a crush of people. We tried some amazing food along the way. At one of the historic homes we visited, a woman was making dumplings in the back. One word from me and Robert had us at a table and was ordering up food for us. He literally took care of all our needs, let us shop a bit, while ensuring we were seeing the sites and didn't miss anything. Robert followed up with us the next day to ensure we received all of our clothing from the tailors as well. They had a little trouble delivering to our hotel so Robert stepped in to help even though he had no obligation to do so. He clearly cared that everything was to our liking. He really went the extra mile. We had a great day in Hoi An with Robert. I highly recommend his tours. What a fun day in Hoi An with Robert.

We greatly enjoyed our tour with Robert. We specifically chose him because of all the positive reviews. We agree! He is professional, punctual, and has a lot of insight about the area since he has lived here 15 years. He even suggested the local noodle dish which we’d never tasted before - it was lovely. It felt like we were seeing the neighborhood of an observant friend. Hoi An can come across as chaotic, but he is a pro at navigating it. Robert’s English is fantastic, and he was able to communicate with the Vietnamese driver without issue. We got safely to and from Da Nang with no problem. Es war eine ganz tolle Tour. Robert hat im Vorfeld bereits alles perfekt vorbereitet und uns vorab per Google Maps den Treffpunkt geschickt. Pünktlich ging es los und Robert hat uns 2 Stunden lang tolle Informationen gegeben, tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt. Es wurde nicht langweilig und die Zeit verging wie im Flug. Wir haben eine 2-stündige Tour/Stadtbesichtigung mit Robert gebucht. Meine Tochter ist 16 und hat das Down-Syndrom und hat nicht immer so viel Spaß am laufen - vor allem nicht bei 37 Grad. Robert war überpünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt, wo wir bereits eine kleine Erfrischung zu uns nahmen. Er setzte sich zu uns und so konnten wir schon mal ganz entspannt plaudern und uns "beschnuppern". Alsdann haben wir in einem für uns entspannten Tempo unsere Tour durch Hoi An begonnen. Robert machte uns auf viele kleine Dinge aufmerksam und unsere Wege führten uns bis in die kleinsten Gassen. Er hat sich immer wieder rückversichert, ob für uns alles verständlich ist, ob wir noch DIES oder DAS ansehen möchten und ob es uns gut geht. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben und wohl gefühlt. Spent some great time with Phuc in Hoi An. Adapted the tour to our wishes. We were glad to have him showing the nice places of his city. The night before we tried to discover Hoi An on our own and were very disappointed : crowdy, loads of people , tourist shop after tourist shop. Phuc made us change our mindset completely.

We organized a city walk with Thuy for our very first morning in Hoi An- great choice! She patiently explained how to navigate the town, streets, vendors. She also showed us down hidden lanes to some of the best, history & food secrets in town. Loved the White Rose (hand made by ancestors) in the old house! Phuc as his name says is pure happiness! I would not imagine to get around to Hoi An without him. He showed us the market, he brought us to a hidden gem family making a local dessert, we got in Pagodas and traditional houses and we ended up in a local hand crafted factory. What an experience! Drinking cold lotus tea and getting informed about anything you can imagine! Do it! Just do it with Phuc! Snd booke the bike trip to the countryside as well! With him! The morning we met with Robert was very wet with very heavy rain, however Robert made the best of these conditions and gave us an informative tour of Hoi An old town. He took us to 5 of the local museums and explained their history and features, he also took photo's for us despite the weather! Towards the end of the tour he took us into the market and helped us to buy souvenirs. English is not Robert's first language but we found that we could understand all of his talk in English with no problems.Informative Hoi An Tour
