I've used withlocals before and always had guides who had a game plan. I found Andrea to be a little too much "we could go here, or we could go here..." for my liking. I also messaged prior to the tour that we wanted to go to St Chapelle as part of the tour. When we got there, he did his thing and we did ours as I don't think he was all that familiar with the church. When we did ask questions, too many responses were "we could google it". Disappointing

We had a wonderful time with Cimet. She is very friendly with a good knowledge of both historical and modern points of interest. A highlight of our tour was seeing the etching of Arthur Rimbaud's poem "Le Bateau Ivre" carved into a wall along the street. Cimet was leisurely, not rushing us, allowing us to take it all in. We strolled through a "bracante" checking out the antiques, visited St. Sulpice and the Luxembourg Gardens and ended up at Les Deux Magots for lunch. I was touched that Cimet asked the waiter to place us in the seats where Simone de Beauvoir sat with Jean Paul Sartre so many years ago. Even though we were short on time Andrea gave us a very comprehensive and detailed tour of the left bank and Latin quarters. He showed us all the highlights and salient historical sites.
