Da das Wetter am Vormittag schlecht war, hat sie uns nicht nur angeboten, die Führung auf den Nachmittag zu verschieben, sondern hat uns auch noch Vorschläge für den verregneten Vormittag gemacht. I've used withlocals before and always had guides who had a game plan. I found Andrea to be a little too much "we could go here, or we could go here..." for my liking. I also messaged prior to the tour that we wanted to go to St Chapelle as part of the tour. When we got there, he did his thing and we did ours as I don't think he was all that familiar with the church. When we did ask questions, too many responses were "we could google it". Disappointing

We had a wonderful time with Cimet. She is very friendly with a good knowledge of both historical and modern points of interest. A highlight of our tour was seeing the etching of Arthur Rimbaud's poem "Le Bateau Ivre" carved into a wall along the street. Cimet was leisurely, not rushing us, allowing us to take it all in. We strolled through a "bracante" checking out the antiques, visited St. Sulpice and the Luxembourg Gardens and ended up at Les Deux Magots for lunch. I was touched that Cimet asked the waiter to place us in the seats where Simone de Beauvoir sat with Jean Paul Sartre so many years ago. Even though we were short on time Andrea gave us a very comprehensive and detailed tour of the left bank and Latin quarters. He showed us all the highlights and salient historical sites. Romy was great! We decided to take our tour the first day we landed in Paris after an eight hour overnight flight….Probably not the best idea on our part, but Romy kept us interested (and moving) via her tour. I have visited Paris on another two occasions but this visit was certainly the standout and most memorable and I think part of this was because we kicked off our time in Paris with a fabulous walking tour through the streets with Welly as our tour guide. We really loved getting to hear more about the history of this wonderful city and have a local take us through some of the notable but maybe less touristy and less well known sites that were local to Saint Germaine where we stayed. Having a tour flexible to our preferences and from a local gave us a whole new perspective and insights into Paris we personally found to be valuable and something we got more from than a standard hop on hop off tour that is more touristy and covers the sites everyone knows. Welly was also great at sharing information and planning a tour that engaged our children ages 11 and 13 and answering their questions. He was patient with them and his English was easily understood by us Australians with limited French language skills! Lastly he really took note of our interests and preferences during the tour and afterwards sent us a lovely bunch of recommendations crafted to our personal interests that were convenient to where we were staying in terms of restaurants, shopping and places to visit. We found this personalised touch very thoughtful and useful. I am so glad we booked this tour with Welly and believe it really helped us all fall in love with Paris. We will be back again! We wanted to book a tour to make the most of our Louvre experience both for us and our children aged 11 and 13 rather than be overwhelmed with such an huge collection of art and the crowds. We are not art experts and wanted to have a tour guide help us to get the most from the experience and enhance our understanding and appreciation of the amazing and notable pieces on display. We weren’t sure booking a group tour would keep them engaged and give us what we were after so we opted for a personal tour with Bibiana. We found Bibiana to be warm, friendly and fun and in our time together she covered the early history of the Louvre when it was a palace showing us the old foundations and taking us back in time in the history of France before helping enlighten us on the evolution of Greek and Roman sculptures and art. Both my husband and I felt Bibiana gave us a whole new appreciation for the more famous pieces by classical masters and by the time we parted we felt like experts and could admire the art in a whole new way. We appreciated that Bibiana also made sure to engage our children asking them questions and pointing out aspects to them throughout the tour as well. We were able to skip the line to enter through an alternative entry which was also a bonus and time saver given we visited during the Summer when crowds are at their peak. Overall I definitely felt touring with Bibiana enhanced our overall Louvre experience. A fantastic Louvre experience

Welly is flexible! Welly is knowledgeable. Le Professeur Welly took us on a guided tour that included many interesting and beautiful Parisienne landmarks. We knew we would be tired after an overnight flight and wanted to see the highlights of the museum (Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, etc.), and she showed us all of those and more.
