We booked Sonia to give us an introductory walking tour of old Lisbon on our first morning in town. She was very flexible in putting back the start time to avoid the rain and met us at our hotel reception. We were impressed by her knowledge of the city and her excellent English. She showed us lots of local places, avoiding the tourist traps and giving us a lot of recommendations for the remainder of our stay. Jorge was incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon, and the city’s history right up to the current day. He was able to answer all our questions - we learned so much about the city, politics, healthcare, education, culture, sights to see, and where to shop! He had a great sense of humour, was charming, and very engaging. It was such a fabulous tour and welcome to Lisbon, we could have spent the whole day with him if possible. He made Lisbon come alive by pointing out things we would never had noticed and shared stories. Ricardo had such a calm presence about him as soon as we met. He took us through so many unassuming places that really encapsulated the meaning of a hidden gem for me. This is the kind of thing I seek when I'm in a new place - going through old streets, quintessential neighbourhood shops & bars, old buildings with stories. He tailored the tour (and extended it!) to our interest in vinyls, books and music. He was such an interesting guy with a flair for guiding not too much but not too little. He let us have our space and soak in each place at our own pace. He left us with a bunch of cool recommendations fit to our taste. What a guy! A true hidden gem!

My husband and I did a 3 hour walking tour of Lisbon with Amanda and I would highly recommend it. She took us to see all the major sites and neighborhoods with plenty of time to stop in special local shops and for photos. We had the most delicious Pastel de Nata at a coffee shop too. Ana is incredible! We spent 3 hours with her walking the streets of Lisbon and learning a great deal about the amazing history and culture of my new favorite European city. Her passion for the history of Lisbon and Portugal were infectious. We had such a great time that my wife asked if we could do another tour but unfortunately we had already made plans for the next day. Ana even recommended places to eat that were off the beaten path so to speak. We tried two of them and must say that her recommendations were perfect. We did the tour with my two daughters who are 11 and 13, and they both enjoyed Ana’s personality and wealth of information. First off, Amanda was very flexible in scheduling with us. When our flight arrived late, we had to reschedule our tour to another day at the last minute and she was very accommodating. When we did meet up with her, she was kind, friendly and had lots of great insight into the city and its history. Having been in Portugal for many years, she too was a visitor and was able to teach us about Lisbon through her experiences. She provided lots of recommendations of shops and restaurants to visit that were off the beaten path and even took us to her favorite bakery so we can try the best Pastel de Nata's. What can I say? João is the best! We had a great tour that went by too quickly. João is interesting, knowledgeable, charming and funny. Carlos was incredible — he shared his wealth of knowledge and love for Lisbon with us and was able to answer so many of our questions. He was warm, friendly, and so much fun to spend the day with.
