Our little group of 4 met up with Maria at Torre delle Ore and I could tell right then it would be a great walking tour! We knew very little about Lucca and Maria made us discover this beautiful Tuscany town at a leisurely pace with lots of bits of history and fun facts. We all enjoyed our afternoon with Sara! She was engaging, witty, clearly intelligent and well-informed, and willing to adjust in the moment to our specific interests. Her professionalism shone through - in how she communicated with us, in the pacing of the tour, and in her balanced presentation of the history and culture of Lucca. Despite our jet-lagged brains, intermittent rain, and the press of other visitors, we concluded the tour with a deeper understanding of Lucca during the Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance eras. We had the pleasure of taking a 3 hour tour in Lucca with Sara!
She did an excellent job to show us the ancient parts of lucca, shared a lot of fascinating facts and little-known details about Lucca and it's friendship with the neighbouring town of Pisa ;-)
Our big group - though no everybody spoke fluently english - was impressed and delighted. She took care of everybody though we were may and was flexible and kind. Thank you, Sara, for making this tour so memorable for all of us. We can highly recommend her.Perfect to get acquainted with lucca

If only we had booked a tour with Sara on our first day in Lucca! We then would have booked her for every day of our two week trip in Italy. Sure, her family would miss her but we’d be happy as clams laughing everyday as she shared funny stories and customs of her fellow Italians. We have been to Italy a dozen times and grown up in Italian American families but still Sara could tell us stories never heard before - so many tiny but spicy details that make any travel experience richer. Obviously we loved Sara for her depth of knowledge , her sense of humor, her light touch and her ability to tailor a tour to match our varied interests and abilities. You will love her too! My husband and I had never been to Lucca, but had heard wonderful things about it from friends. We went on a private tour with Sara, and spent an enchanting few hours with her exploring the city.
She was so knowledgeable about the history of the city, and her humor in telling us stories about what we were seeing added so much fun to the facts. We loved the way she would talk about the history of a place and then relate it to present day.
We ended our tour with a delicious lunch at a restaurant she had reserved for us in the heart of the city.

What a wonderful job Maria Lucrezia did addressing the different interests and ages of our group! We spent a fantastic day with Sara on a “hidden gems” personalised tour of Lucca. Sara Was knowledgeable, kind, engaging , and maintained interest for our teenage kids. She took us to local places to try delicacy such as Bucellato and Torta d’erbe, and even helped us book restaurants for dinner the night before and for lunch after the tour, which was incredibly helpful.. We really enjoyed our 3 hours wandering the streets of Lucca with Sara. She is so personable, polite, and eager to please. She designed a tour to accommodate our wishes perfectly. She has a sense of humour that fitted in well with her explanations about why the Luchese designers did what they did. Sara was absolutely amazing and able to instantly adapt the itinerary to our individual requirements (and those of our 2 dogs!). Very interesting walk with Maria through ancient Lucca. She told us a lot of historical stories and showed us many symbols and signs on the buildings and in churches. Maria has a lot of knowlegde and answered all our questions. Walking around with Maria felt like walking with a friend, the city came to live. We had several tastings and recommadations for dining. We had a great time exploring Lucca by bike. Everything was perfectly arranged with bikes being ready for us an the kids. The tempo of the tour was very easy to follow for all of us which meant it was also really nice for the kids. Even when I didn't show up on the right date Belinda was very accommodating and rescheduled to the day after.Amazing morning with Belinda
