Majo was a fabulous guide. She was flexible, highly knowledgeable about the long history of Madrid, the royal family and provided fun interactive commentary. Our tour with Majo was lovely. The stories made the palace and cathedral very interesting and come alive. Since we were hungry we diverted our tour to a tapa tour! It was fun to learn about Spanish food and to get her insights & knowledge on the menu options in Mercado de San Miguel and the tapas restaurants along the Cava Baja street. Informative & Flexible

Majo was an awesome guide. She loves her city and she loves the sights. My grown daughters and I enjoyed her so very much and do suggest her to anyone reading this. One thing that stood out with me. She said, when most people travel they want to go to the amusement park and ride roller coasters, this is my roller coaster." as she pointed to the art work in Madrid. It was certainly very nice. As a Madrid native, his perspective is decidedly Spain-centric which will interest the curious and perhaps not align with your ideas. Julian met us on time, his English is excellent and his passion for what he does was immediately evident. He is warm, friendly and engaging. We enjoyed his company a great deal.
We saw and learned things from him that we would never have found in a tour book and he provided us with a fascinating historical overview of Spain and Madrid.

We were a group of 2 >>> 1/2 English speaking and 1/2 Spanish speaking. Julian. We enjoyed a perfect tour with detailed explanations covering particularly the history of Madrid, the royal families and the Catholic church in both languages. Little details were much appreciated. Where to take the best pictures, building architecture, and the changes that have taken place over the centuries. Further recommendations bookstore, restaurants and bars. First off, Julian was very accommodating as we could not make our scheduled time due to flight delay, but Julian happily rescheduled for us. Julian met us promptly at our new time and was very personable. During our tour, Julian exhibited thorough knowledge of of the sites we toured, along with other side stories and legends. My wife and I had a private 3 hours walking tour of Madrid with Darwin's on, and he was very knowledgeable and fun and engaging. We were able to gain a great feeling for Madrid and a good orientation of the city at the start of our stay. Private tours are always more expensive, but we find them much more personalised and insightful. The app was easy to use, communications from Darwinson were timely and effective. Julian gave a great orientation tour of Madrid and its historical places of interest from Madrid’s inception. He pointed out lots of different places to eat and the oldest restaurant still operating in the same place. The chocolate and churros were delicious and welcome snack mid tour. Great tour today with my guide Dawinson. Being my first time in Madrid/Spain/Europe, he really looked after me. His English was excellent and his knowledge of past and present histories was exceptional.
At the end of the tour he took me to a wonderful restaurant for tapas and cold beer. Great way to finish 3 hours and 15km of walking and learning.

Maria Augusta was a fabulous tour guide for my husband and I. She explained everything in great detail and clearly she loves what she does. Her incredible knowledge of the art at the Prado museum was the highlight of the tour. She took her time to explain details we would never have discovered on our own and made this a very happy memory for us.
