We had a great introduction to Naples with Nino. His approach was to educate us of why Naples is what it is today through its historical foundations. What a day we had with Gennaro! We travelled with a 4yo and 7mo so we wanted the tour to be a bit different than just visiting churches and museum and this tour was just what we wanted it. From visiting emerging neighbourhoods, food market, seeing how authentic Napoli pizzas are made…We tried some delicious food and drinks. Pizza, mozzarella Di buffalo, sfogliatelle, wine…. Just mouthwatering! Gennaro was very knowledgeable and also caring. He made sure toilet breaks and food breaks were included in the tour for our kids (and us too of course) and even suggested to change the time of our tour due to some protests happening, which would have made the experience not as relaxing. He even went the extra mile and dropped us back at the port with his car as it was raining. Thank you so much Gennaro for your knowledge, time and kindness and making our visit of Napoli so special and memorable. Can’t go wrong with Gennaro as your guide!

Rita was an excellent host, and so knowledgeable that she was easily able to tailor the tour to accommodate our dog. We saw exactly what we’d hoped for, the key sights of Napoli as well as some of the lessor known spots. She also capably answered all our questions, and was even happy to share some thoughts on where to visit as we travel further south in Italy. Rita was totally brilliant. As well as being utterly adorable, she was so knowledgeable and passionate about her city. As well as the fascinating history and architecture of the incredible city of Napoli, she gave us ideas of how to spend the rest of our trip (we went to Sorrento). She also told us about some of the local food and while she was surprised at the area we were staying, we managed to find a local restaurant near our hotel that served the delicious genovese she had described 😊 Cannot recommend highly enough and a private tour, while a little more expensive, is definitely the way to go.Absolute best way to Naples.

My husband and I book a food tour whenever we visit a new city. Our tour in Naples with Frederica, was a small group with just the three of us which was wonderful. Frederica took into consideration that my husband is a vegetarian and provided options for him. We were taken off the beaten path to areas where locals shop and eat. We tasted food that were specific to the area and while walking between food destinations learned some history of Naples. We are a young couple on our early 30s from Spain. We did two amazing tours with Gennaro, one by walking and one by car, the first at the historical centre of Naples (including the Decumani, Pignasecca market and the Quartieri Spagnoli, plus recommendations for other areas) and the second outside of the city, through the Amalfi coast. We visited Napoli for 3 days; we heard so good about Napoli: its history, food and authenticity! We start looking for some tours, was plenty of guides and sites, but finally we found Gennaro and we booked a pizza class with him on this site! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Gennaro. He picked us up at our AirBnb, which took the stress out of our morning. He told us all about the history of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Our drive was relaxing, with beautiful views and commentary. Each stop was planned, so we could enjoy all of the sights, with time for extra exploring if we wanted. The food recommendations were perfect, and we visited the special pastry shop featured on Stanley Tucci’s Searching For Italy. We added an optional Wine and Food Pairing at a winery on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius. It was a special ending of a perfect day. Gennaro was extremely helpful when we had to change our travel plans the following day, due to an unexpected train strike. Truly a 5 star experience!!Perfect day in the Amalfi Coast!
