Alexia was a delight as she toured us through the charming neighborhood of Montmartre. She made sure to cater the experience to our tastes and was full of stories of the different areas we walked through. She knew the best spots to stop for a little snack (an amazing pastry shop and chocolatier!) and was a huge help in asking for recommendations for the duration of our Paris trip. Alex had a wonderful itinerary planned for us. She sent me about 5 options to choose from and I picked one that ended in and around the neighborhood where we were staying. I also let her know we love food! It was great to be able to tailor our tour to our interests. She took us to a handful of sweets shops with different delicacies along with a shop for us to purchase good pate and cheese. We got a lot of history along the way and got to see a few hidden gems as well. She talked with each of us individually as we walked. She gave us suggestions for the rest of our stay...many of which we have checked off our list. We loved our tour with Alex!Grest walking tour

Gelsomina was an amazing tour guide! My husband and I had just gotten into Paris and decided to get a tour to acclimate to the city. Our family of five (with kids ages 9, 12 and 15) had a wonderful time getting an insider’s view of Paris with Paolo. Not only is he very knowledgeable about the history of the city (architectural styles, the monarchy, the Revolution, Napoleon and beyond), he also is great fun to spend the day with. He entertained all of us, made sure to engage the kids and shared interesting stories that we never would have learned on our own. He also gave us great tips for the rest of our stay, including texting us several outstanding restaurant recommendations after the tour had concluded. Paolo has a very warm and welcoming personality, and he is just a fascinating person in general, having lived in many cities around the world. By the end, it felt like we had a friend in Paris. We had an amazing tour with Gelsomina. We just arrived to Paris and wanted to take a less touristy path through the city (avoiding Arc de Triomphe, Eiffle Tower, Champs-Elysees, etc). She curated a wonderful walk for us through Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Latin Quarter. We got to see all her favorite spots while also orienting us on how the city is laid out and pointed out historical facts that really helped us get excited about our week. Andrea's tour was a great intro to Paris. We hit several of the highlights, and he also took us to some places we never would've known about. For example, since we're from Philadelphia, he took us to see Benjamin Franklin's Paris office. We moved quickly to maximize our time, but didn't feel rushed. Absolutely fantastic experience! We had a layover in Paris and were looking for a local guide who could show us around without the stress of planning, and we hit the jackpot with Gelsomina. From the moment we met her, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made sure we hit all the spots we wanted to see, and even suggested some hidden gems we would have missed otherwise. After our red-eye flight, we really appreciated how easy-going and laid-back she was — it made the whole experience so relaxed and enjoyable. Friends who had recently been to Paris recommended Withlocals, and after looking through all the guides we decided to go with Giedre. She was excellent! She was waiting for us at the designated spot with a smile on her face, and spent just over 3 hours taking us on a personal walking tour through Paris, with some stops along the way to for some quick shopping or to grab a drink at our request. Her knowledge and passion about the history and architecture of Paris was apparent from the start, and she had a great ability to share the history and stories of all the places we passed in such an interesting way and answer our questions. It was really fun exploring Paris with a local, and she was full of helpful little tidbits of information, like when we took the Metro together to one spot she told us to make sure our pockets were zipped and our bags were held close because of pickpocketing, or took us to a street with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower that tourists don't frequent but where the locals like to go. She also shared some of her own personal recommendations for areas to visit, restaurants she loves, good places to buy posters or grab a cafe latte. She curated the tour a bit based on some of the things we wanted to see and do, and at the end dropped us off at an amazing cafe that won the award for the best croissants in Paris in 2023 where we had an incredible lunch. I would highly recommend Withlocals for an elevated experience touring Paris, and if you do a walking tour, you can't go wrong with Giedre. She's absolutely lovely and delightful and is sure to make your tour a wonderful afternoon in Paris. Amazing guide and experience
