Ana was a wonderful surprise for us. A wonderful mix of history and local flavor by a Porto native. Lunch was absolutely fantastic at a place we would have never found that has been in Porto over 40 years with same owners, cooks and managers. We learned so much from our lovely guide, Mayumi: History, architecture, interesting people and wine and food. We had the best of the Portuguese cream custard tarts we had anywhere in the country.! She showed us the old city and the newer. While we went all over, the walk was easy and enjoyable. She gave us lots of ideas for our remaining time in Porto. Also many good restaurants and entertainment places. She shaped the tour to our interests. She is great. She obviously loves her city and shares it with style and grace. The tour is pricey compared to some others but it was only 2 people. I'd suggest that the tours have a minimum of 4-6 people to keep the price more reasonable. 10 Plus Tour with Mayumi Vidler.

We came to Porto knowing it was old and beautiful but knew not much else. Orlando took us through the city - showcasing and explaining the major tourist sites but also giving us insight and drawing our attention to the small things we would miss. We watched many groups pass by those very sites without a second look - making us feel like we had won the guide jackpot. Orlando shared stories and showed us maps to really bring history to life in this wonderful city. We left with so much more than we could have hoped for. Could not recommend a tour with Orlando enough! Best way to explore a history filled city!

Our group of 7 had a wonderful tour with Mayumi last Friday, April 4th. She was very knowledgeable and knew the history of Porto extremely well. She was also fun and very engaging and we loved spending the day with her. She accommodated our needs and was very flexible. She was easy to understand and answered all of our questions. She even spent more time with us than we planned so that she could walk us to the train station and the market so we wouldn’t get lost. And to top it off she treated us to the famous pastel de nata halfway through the tour to give us a sugar boost. We loved our tour and highly recommend mayumi if you’re looking for a tour in Porto. We fell in love with Porto!
