We were so happy with Simone. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about all things Rome. My 16 year old daughter and I did this tour on the day of our arrival and it was a perfect start. We learnt a lot very quickly and discovered hidden places that we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Simone gave us many ideas and tips for restaurants and meals too. Paola was my partner and I’s first tour of Rome, and I strongly believe her tour was the perfect introduction to the city. As we got started, she asked what our Rome itinerary was to create a unique experience with minimal overlap and opportunities to explore niche locations that we never would have found.

Paola was incredibly knowledgeable about Roman history. She taught my husband, my two teenagers and I an incredible amount of information and showed us beautiful places that we never would have found on our own. We did a private 3 hour historical Rome walking tour with Francesca.
She is extremely friendly, chatty and knowledgeable about the history of Rome, the art and the buildings. We asked her a lot of questions tangential to what she was showing us and she thoughtfully answered them all. Even occasionally mentioning she wasn’t 100% positive on an answer which gave us confidence that everything else she was telling us was true to the best of her knowledge.
We loved how she related the history of the areas we were seeing to ancient and more modern times and gave it all context for us non-Italians.
She showed us a combination of buildings/architecture, artwork and public spaces that we wouldn’t have necessarily seen otherwise.
She even showed us her favorite Roman coffee shop and explained what was different about the way they brew their coffee (in the Naples tradition) that makes it extra special and tasty.
We’d highly recommend her and would love to do another tour with her the next time we’re in Rome.Made our last day great!

Paola knew a lot about the area and some of the best spots for pictures and quiet side streets away from the busy crowds.
