My family and I did our first walking tour of Rome with Max. Max wss super communicative from the start, chill and very easy to talk to . He’s funny, kind and very accommodating . We had 2 kids who weren’t always the best behaved through the 3 hour tour ( some tantrums and fights along the way) but he was super patient and went with the flow. He took us to this amazing gelato place too :) Max had lots of stories to tell which made all the history so fascinating - his depth of knowledge and all those details that he knows are clearly impressive . We had an amazing tour - and would highly recommend him to anyone ! Great walking tour !

We spent a few hours walking the streets in the historic center of Rome with Simone. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and a very engaging conversationalist. He quickly adapted to what we were interested in hearing about and seeing and tailored the tour accordingly. A casual stroll about the city, but worth every turn and dodged Vespa! We were shown epic churches, wine shops, lunch places and local spots! We ended up going back for lunch / espresso at recommended spots! Epic! We were shown “off the tourist” path things- details you can research unless a local shares the details! Being on a business trip in Rome and with some spare time in the evening I decided to go to downtown Rome to see something of the cultural treasured of Rome. Alone in an unknown city it's maybe boring and you run around aimlessly. Having a lot of positive experience with the Withlocals service in many other places of the world I decided to book a guide. Everything went very well. Simone showed me some hidden places, the Pantheon and we had a nice talk. Almost at the end of the tour we walked up a little hill where I had a wonderful overview over the Forum Romanum and on the other side I could see the St.Peters cathedral. In this momentan I heart the bells of the cathedral ringing and I knew it must be the announcement of the new Pope. Simone realized that this is important for me and offered me to bring me to the St.Peters Place. It was quite a long walk along the Tiber river but we made it in time and I became part of the historical event when the new Pope entered the balcony. Although the booked time was long over he stayed with me and finally brought me to a place where I could order a taxi to go back to the hotel. Simone is definitely a nice person and a great guide with an excellence sense for his customers. I can fully recommend him. He is fully engaged and it's nice to talk to him. Simone thanks for this unforgettable tour.Habemus Papam!

This was the absolute best tour. You must book with Simone if you want to have a unique and fun experience. Simone was warm and engaging. He took us to many important sites in the city but also mixed in fun stops to sample cheeses, meats, wine and Roman pizza. We ended the tour on top of this beautiful spot with views of the city, including St Peters. There was a lovely restaurant with stunning views. A perfect way to end our trip. We were delighted to spend time walking around with Daniele. He was kind enough to meet us in our hotel which was a bit away from the usual areas. As we wandered & chatted through Monti (the Suburra in Ancient Rome), Paola pointed out interesting sites, streetscapes off the tourist tracks, as well as highlighting Rome’s ancient, medieval, renaissance & modern history. As it’s a jubilee year, we visited Santa Maria Maggiore’s holy door & then to Regoli’s pasticceria to sample the seasonal (& delicious ) beignet di San Giuseppe.
