Cristobal was an absolutely amazing tour guide. So knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and took us to some of the best spots in the city. Amalia was one of the best tour guides we have used at WithLocals. She knew about the history of Santiago, took us to some overlooked sites that are important to Chile's history (e.g. Morande 80, plaques on the ground at Plaza de Armas), and answered any questions we had. Amalia was a fantastic and accommodating host for our quick visit to Santiago. We only had a short time to spend in the city in between flights, but Amalia made it an experience to remember. She tailored her itinerary to give us a great overview of key info, sights and local experiences within the city, and made sure the start and end points worked well for our travel to/from the airport. We only had one day in Santiago, hi oven that we are unlikely to get there again, wanted to make the most of it and 3 hours with Claudia was a great way to spend it.
We had a great tour of the city and heard about the history of its found and development (and redevelopment after fires and earthquakes).
We ended the day with the best sandwich (As Italiano) I have ever had in my life at Bar Torremolinos.
A wonderful day out in Santiago.

We had a fascinating tour of the old centre of Santiago with Claudia. She spoke for the best part of 4 hours, covering all the major attractions, providing the historical background to the emergence of modern Chile.

Francesco did a wonderful job of starting with the early Spanish settlers and taking us to the culture and politics of the 21st century. He was patient in answering my endless questions and covered topics far and wide. I had been to Santiago previously and did a tour but only received about 10% of the information that Francesco shared with us. Christobal organized a fantastic Street Art tour which doubled as a guide to some of the more interesting districts of Santiago (including the Cultural Center). His explanations while guiding were an informative combination of history and culture and (per our request) Cristobal allowed us to observe local life on the street (and in the market) as opposed to behind a glass case in a museum. I disagree with Christobal's protestation that Street Art is not necessarily his speciality because his knowledge is highly comprehensive. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anybody interested in contemporary urban culture and plan to use Cristobal's guiding services when I return to Santiago in the future.Superb Street Art tour

Starting at Plaza de Armas, Cristobal took us through the history of Chileβs formation, independence, the significant impact of Catholicism and modern day political context.
