We loved our Highlights & Hidden Gems of Siem Reap tour with Ngoun (Lux). We decided to book this tour after such a successful Angkor Wat tour with Lux and we were not disappointed. We travelled about the city in a tuk tuk and Lux asked us what we would be interested in seeing so he could tailor the tour for us. The highlights were experiencing the local food market, the backstreet gems of the Pub Street area, a stunning ministry and learning about the history of Buddhism. The beautiful palace grounds and their captivating bronze statues and a secret hidden temple which is being refurbished. Our highlight was a visit to the Apopo visitors centre where we discovered and learnt about rats which can detect landmines through smell. Our tuk tuk driver was brilliant too and kept us in fresh supply of ice cold water. We highly recommend this tour if you’d like to get to know Siem Reap more.An enjoyable & interesting afternoon tour

It was a great tour filled with things most people wouldn’t have done if not for our local guide, Chhehai. He had valuable knowledge and some great local snack (the coffee was our favorite) that made it a good time. Only thing I would say is it was very hot around the time we went so a good suggestion would be sunscreen and some water. Though Chhehai also provided us with some water as we were going which was very kind.Great things we wouldnt have done normally

We booked Long for a short tour of Siem Reap town centre/market area. We explored some historical areas where monks lived, we visited a temple and a school where children are educated for free (Donate if you can people). There are some amazing things to see and we enjoyed our tour. We will definitely book Long again if we ever get back to Cambodia. Thankyou Long. All the best.Great little tour

The tour with Long was great. He showed us places that we would have never visited without him. His knowledge regarding the history and religion of Cambodia and Siem Reap is perfect. We were in Siem Reap for 4 days and our tour was very much focussed on the temples and other attractions out of town. So the free time we had on our first day we booked a walking tour with Long that included lunch. He was an excellent guide who showed many aspects of the centre of town - the food and craft markets, restaurants, pagodas, temples and so on. He gave us our bearings so that we were confident when we left our hotel that we could explore the town and eat and drink and get the real experience of the place rather than confining ourself to the hotel. We had some snacks in the market, then lunch in a local cafe. Nothing was too much trouble and I would highly recommend Long if you are spending any time in Siem Reap. Excellent tour

On the last day of as our holiday we booked a 3-hour tour with ‘withlocals’ and were shown around parts of Siem Reap that we’d not had chance to see earlier in our holiday. Our Guide- Sen Sith was standing in for Ngoun and was excellent. After collecting us by Tuc Tuc from our hotel he provided a well thought out route to include the places we wanted to see and answered all the many questions we had about life in Cambodia. Importantly for us (who weren’t used to the heat), we walked at a slow pace and included an important coffee stop that provided another (cooler) opportunity to discuss Cambodian life. We spent two days with Lux (Nguon), with a city and food tour on the first day, and the temples tour on the second. Private tours with Lux in a very clean car. He was most informative and personable, sharing facts on Cambodia's history, how Siem Reap is now, and a wonderful introduction to Khmer Cuisine. On the temples tour, we got the best view of Angkor Wat for sunrise with a magical way in to the temple, you have to book this to enjoy the most of your trip. Lux was very accomodating to our questions and requests. The two days spent with him was the equivalent of spending time getting to know Siem Reap through a friend, not a guide. Highly recomment Lux for your next visit to Siem Reap. Wonderful two days spent with Lux!

I highly recommend Ngoun (aka Luc) as a guide and you should book him for the day that you arrive to Siem Reap. His walking tour helped me to quickly gain my bearings, allowing me to hit more sites local places in a short amount of time. Luc even found a gallery for me to visit after I texted him the day before our tour. Lux is a very knowledgeble, engaging and thoughtful guide. We met Lux just after our arrival, so he kindly gave us a brief tour of the area around our hotel (Park Hyatt which is amazing as an aside) to orient us to our immediate surroundings. We then made iur way to a more local neighborhood and passed the King’s residence, a few temples and got a monk blessing on the way. In the local neighborhood, we went to a market had a local sweet dish at a beighborhood reataurant/stand and wrapped up at the oldest temple in the city tucked away behind a monastery. The sights were cool, but the real highlight is talking to Lux and learning about Cambodian culture and history. Lux’s English is good, and he is an engaging guide that made learning interesting, even for the teenagers in our group. I would highly recommend any tour with Lux. Wonderful Introduction to Siem Reap and Cambodia

Wonderful tour guide, full of knowledge and speaks very good English. Lux, his nickname, answered all our questions with lots of information.
