For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. While visiting Venice, I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Valerio for fish shopping at Rialto Market followed by home cooking in Murano. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary and truly authentic. We began our day at Rialto Market, selecting fresh, local ingredients under Valerio's expert guidance. From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. What made the experience even more special was how hands-on it was—my friend and I got to help with some of the preparations, which made the meal feel even more personal and rewarding. We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. We had just arrived the previous day and were still getting up to speed. Needless to say, the tour was absolutely fascinating. We learned some very interesting facts about Venice as well as about Donna Leon and Brunetti's Venice. A most enjoyable 2 hours. If your a fan of Brunetti and visiting Venice, definetly look at this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Aside form the tour, Valerio was extreemly helpful in giving us some recommedations for restaurants and some things to do in Venice and Murano. We take food tours in every city that we visit, unfortunately this food tour was the most expensive with the least to offer. Although Genny is a lovely guide and we absolutely adored her the tour itself was disappointing. For a 100 Euro per person we only got to taste some cicchetis, fried seafood, fried sandwiches and rice balls and gelato. Although we don’t mind sharing between friends, there was only one to maximum two of the same Ciccheti to share which we had to bite of. We would really recommend getting more than one to share and cut it instead of asking for 5 people to bite of and pass on. For that price we really expected a little bit more. Highlight was the first place we visited and the access to the rooftop at Tedeschi Mall that you would usually have to book way in advance. We thought it was off to a great start but this was not the case. The gelato at the end was unfortunately also not very good compared to what we have had on a daily in Italy. 10 tastings of Venice set the wrong expectation.Venice

I chose a private tour because I walk slowly with a stick. I advised Genny before I booked and she agreed to take me on! Genny was very understanding, friendly and patient, she swopped the order of the walk around so that I was more likely to have a seat at the places we stopped for food. She was very knowledgeable and her English is great. It was a relief to be in an area which was less touristy and crowded. The food samples were delicious and I learnt a lot about Venetian food. I was introduced to Select Spritz, the venetian invented drink. The fish market was fascinating; fish we wouldn't normally see in UK such as whole swordfish. My husband agreed that this tour was the best part of visiting Venice. The tour was 3 hours but had frequent stops so I didn't find it too difficult especially as Genny walked at my pace. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our tour with Lucia. In the days leading up to the tour she shared suggestions on areas of Venice to visit, restaurants, and arranged for free private tour of a glass factory on Murano. She responded very quickly to all my questions, bought skip the line tickets well in advance, and confirmed our arrangements in advance so I wouldn’t worry. The tour itself exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge about the Basilica, Palace and history of Venice was impressive and so very interesting. Having a private tour is the way to go and trust me - you want to book in advance to make sure Lucia is available. You will be so thankful you did!Amazing Tour with Lucia!

We had the lovely Lucia show us around Venice. The kids, aged 9 & 11, put this as a top highlight of the trip. Lucia was passionate, knowledgable and kept the kids engaged in the 2.5hr tour. We added in the mask making activity at they end which they loved and allowed hubby and me to go have a appertivo sans kids - close by, which was also very nice. Genny is an amazing guide - friendly, funny, knowledgeable and interesting. My husband and I had the best time on our food tasting tour of Venice. We tried food, drinks and venues we would have had no idea about it if wasn’t for Genny’s expert local knowledge. We definitely weren’t hungry at the end of the tour. Genny was also incredibly flexible. We were caught up in a national train strike which meant we couldn’t make our tour time. Genny reorganised the itinerary so that we could still do the tour. This food tour has been the highlight of my Europe trip so far. We did the tour with two teens, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have never discovered the stops we made, and even if I had, I wouldn’t have known what to order. Genny’s Venice food tour was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Italy. Genny made my family of 4 (2 teenage boys) feel like we were walking through the city with a friend. She took us to many local restaurants with authentic food and drinks and gave us some history of Venice along the way. We tried a variety of cicchetti, cheese, cured meats, fried seafood, and gelato. We had a fantastic tour with Genny. We flew in to Venice at 7:30 am and planned the tour to get a feel for the city and try to make ourselves stay awake. It was a big success but we were also very tired!! Genny did the most amazing job of showing us the sights but also recognizing we were low on steam. She gave us just the right amount of information to make the tour entertaining, informative, and interesting but also not dragging things out when she knew we were tired. Genny organized a wonderful day for my group of 14 people on the islands of Murano and Burano this past June. She personalized the day trip perfectly for us. She went above and beyond and did several extra things, even arranging a special lunch for my group. After seeing a fabulous glass-making presentation on Murano we spent time touring Burano. All along the way Genny shared her knowledge of the islands as well as her knowledge of Venice. We wanted to return to Venice on our own after our lunch so Genny helped me buy return ferry tickets and even sent me a video informing me how to get on the correct ferry and find our way back. Wir haben ihm vorab geschildert, was wir uns von der Tour erwarten und er hat sie im Längen übertroffen. Er konnte alles erklären und ist auch auf alle Fragen eingegangen, die währenddessen aufgekommen sind. Einfach klasse. Die Tour war aufgeteilt in teils touristisch und größtenteils weg vom Tourismus, dies war unser Wunsch und er hat in uns besser als gewollt erfüllt. Our entire group were enthralled with Lucia’’s Venice biennale Collateral art venue tour! She set the stage with some important historical facts and encouraged us to see the Accademia artworks to provide a basis for the contemporary art we were about to see. We were taken to off the track places providing a range of different Biennale artworks and also venues that were special in their own right. Favourites were the art school installation and the Nigerian Pavilion. Lucia gave us some tips of venues to see beyond the tour. Lucia gave a tour from an authentically Venetian perspective and her love for the city shone through. We could not recommend her more highly!Lucia blew us away!
