I have used with locals in other cities in Europe and they always provide great guides. Dina was no exception. I love the fact that you have contact to your guide prior to your trip. Dina responded to questions about restaurants choices even before we met. The Uffizi and the Accedemia are really busy. There are many group tours and tons of bodies. Dina's knowledge of what to look at and how to avoid crowds was very helpful. Having a personal touch to the tour is paramount. Our Highlights of The Accademia & The Uffizi with Art Loving Tour Guide Dina was wonderful! We learned so much as she skillfully helped us navigate the more crowded areas of the two Florence art museums. There is so much beautiful work on display, it would have been challenging to manage on our own, but with Dina's help, it was a wonderful experience. She gave us helpful historical context as we visited David and many Uffizi highlights. When we started to wear down, Dina noticed right away and graciously offered a short coffee break. We did two tours with Dina and she was so wonderful. She made sure we had our tickets and got us to the correct line. I didn’t have to worry about anything. And she made sure the kids could see and understand what we were looking at. On our way from the Accademia to the Uffizi my nine year old special needs son became separated from us. Dina knew just what to do. She called the police and gave them a picture and he was found within minutes. I am so grateful she was there in that moment! I would not have handled it as well. Dina met my wife two daughters and our granddaughter outside of the Academia as planned. She showed us the highlights at the Academia and Uffizi museums and explained the nuances of the sculptures and paintings in an easy and understandable way. She spoke excellent English that was very clear through the compact sound system that she provided to all of the people in our group. Dina showed us where to stand near one of the uncompleted statues to see the partially completed face of Neptune in one of Michel Angelos works and explained the subjects in the most significant paintings at the Uffizi. For our recent stay in Florence, we had planned a visit to the famous Uffizi and Academy Museums. Our expectation was to have a unique and personalized experience. Our time with Dina in Florence was one of our absolute favorite days during our week long stay in the city.
