What you can expect
This hike begins at the town center of Anacapri, with the path starting just 5 minutes away. The trail starts steeply for the first 5 minutes before becoming gentler, transitioning from cement to a dirt path with loose stones and rocks. The initial views overlook Anacapri town and the Bay of Naples, with Ischia and Procida islands visible in the distance.
After about 20 minutes, the trail levels out for another 10 minutes, leading to the stunning "Cetrella's Valley" on the southern side of the island. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the Faraglioni rocks, Marina Piccola Bay, and Capri town center—some of the finest views on Capri.
Continuing on, after 30 more minutes of walking, you'll reach the upper station of the chairlift at the summit of Monte Solaro. Here, facilities like toilets and a bar are available. After taking in more panoramas and resting, you can choose to walk back (35 minutes) or take a 14-minute chairlift ride back to Anacapri town.
The tour concludes back at the starting point in Anacapri town center.
