Marcell met the group at the central market hall and answered all my questions on paprika. At the apartment we prepared the fixed main course together. Now I know the amount of paprika for the chicken paprikash. The served Hungarian wine was good and plenty. Thanks for this nice experience. Nice group experience

Our family of four with a 10 and 6-year-old had a great experience with George. He walked us through the market, sharing local insights and history. The market experience definitely made this feel authentic, like a local purchasing fresh ingredients. He clearly has a passion for food, cooking and Hungarian culture which he shared with us. We enjoyed his cooking tutorials- even our 6 y/o picked up some chopping skills under supervision. He fully engages everyone to be part of the cooking and we made an excellent chicken paprikash whole enjoying local wine. His cooking space (new this summer) is excellent as well. Overall, this felt like a genuine local experience and would highly recommend.George is great!

We had the best Foodapest cooking experience with George!! We are a family of 5 and the children are 17, 12 and 8, and George did brilliantly to include them all in everything that we did. A lovely stroll around the market, and then such fun cooking delicious food. It was so good that our middle son was desperate to cook it all again as soon as we got home! George was great to share the recipes with us and we had a lot of fun. Thanks again George!Excellent Foodapest experience!

Our afternoon with George was incredible. We had so much and the overall experience was amazing. We got to see the market and learn a bit of its history then cook a wonderful meal together and see a true apartment in Budapest. This was one of the main highlights to our trip and we would recommend to anyone visiting. Truly a great way to learn about Hungarian culture and food. Thank you again for such an amazing time and experience. Feel like we’ve made a new friend. Wonderful Experience

An absolute must do!! It was definitely one of the best things we did whilst in Budapest, especially as the weather had taken a turn for the worse. Joseph and George were such amazing hosts, taking us around the market, providing nuggets of history on Hungry as well as teaching us how to make incredible food and we genuinely felt like we were at a friends house cooking dinner together. I have also left with the skill of cracking an egg with 1 hand! To round off this lovely experience, Joseph brought out a box of old Hungarian postcards and gave everyone a piece of history as a momento. Highly highly recommend this and what a great way to meet new people.Unforgettable experience!

This was an amazing experience! I’ve done over 15 experiences to date and this was one of the best. Joszef was very personable, kind, caring, knowledgeable and just plain interesting to talk with. The market tour to buy ingredients and taste the pickles was a fun way to start. We tasted a variety of Hungarian liquors and wines while we cooked. Very interactive and a great sense of community is created when you cook and eat together. I loved hearing about Joszef's family and how they cool together and their traditions. My grandmother used to make chicken paprikas and the taste and smells brought back many memories. I can’t wait to make this for my family. My grandma would’ve totally approved his recipe!Interactive, fun and delicious!

I had the most lovely time today! Joszef doesn’t just teach you how to cook a Hungarian meal, he gives you a primer on Hungarian history and even provides some sightseeing on your way from the market back to the kitchen. It’s really the full experience. He was very knowledgeable and made the cooking class easy and fun. And in the end, the food was delicious! Highly recommend this very reasonably-priced experience!Highly recommend this very reasonably-priced experience.
