   We will enter this protected National Monument. Introduction to its History

5. Historical Context

   Visiting the Italica's museum, introduction to the history of archaeology

6. The walk

   Walk around the monumental quarter, explaining monumental houses, statues, mosaics and the best Seville's countryside views from the top of the city.

7. Main Highlight

   Explanation and visit of Italica's Amphitheatre: historical uses and Game of Thrones anecdotes

8. Snack-rest pause

   A pause to rest 5 minutes and taste our traditional local tasting: tortas de aceite

9. Moving to Santiponce

   Take the again car (less than 3 minutes) to visit the Roman Theatre of the oldest quarter: Vetus Urbs in the village of Santiponce.

10. Ending

    Drive back to Seville. We can stop in any location, bar, restaurant, hotel or any other spot that our guests needs to go to, except pedestrian restricted areas

We would have been unlikely to visit Italica had this experience not been available, which would have been a real shame. Italica is right up there with other significant Roman ruins and well worth a look! Alvaro was great. Communicated well with us before the day, then arranged a smooth collection to head there. As a historian, Alvaro provided a lot of fascinating insight. We had five kids ages five through 14 and he handled things great. We were surprised how few people were at the site, given how many tourists come to Seville. The Itálica site is very underrated. The amphitheater there is absolutely incredible. It was an unforgettable experience walking around inside this ancient structure without all the crowds. We would happily recommend this tour with Alvaro!Great insight on amazing place!

My wife and I met Alvaro in a busy and safe location. He took us through the rich history of the city and shared lots of background about the culture of Sevilla. We hung out at all of the coolest spots with the locals in the community of Triana. He is also very attentive to dietary restrictions when it comes to ordering the food for you. We don’t eat pork, red meat, or dairy (sounds like a lot when you list it out like that) and we are also “texture eaters”.. he took all of that into consideration and was still able to order delicious tapas for us and enjoy with us! We recommend him for your trip! Alvaro is great!

Alvaro was very friendly and knowledgeable. He met us on time, and made sure we had a great time providing interesting information about the history of the palace, and the city of Sevilla. He kept my 10 y.o. son interested and eager for more! When a break was necessary, we found a lot of subjects to discuss, ranging from soccer to rock music. Alvaro was friendly and knowledgeable and the food good. However as there were just two of us it cost €280. For that we went to two bars, had 8 tapas and two drinks each and 2 hours of Alvaro’s time. (Not 3 aa advertised). When I complained I was told that despite the website stating ten tastes as well as drinks, the ten included drinks. To be fair, I have been given a voucher ( value unclear) for another Withlocals tour should I choose to use them again. I have done this type of tour in other cities in Spain going to more bars for less and would suggest using another company. Alternatively there are a number of restaurants with fantastic tasting menus for less in Seville! I can not recommend this tourOverpriced

Alvaro was very personable, and our first stop was magnificent! Most unusual tapas (one carrots, one beets, one stuffed mushrooms) flavored so well that ALL four of us loved them!!! A new wine to us that Alvaro chose complemented everything beautifully His second stop was closed and the backup plan left a lot to be desired. From start to finish Alvaro was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating to our needs. He took us to some of his favorite food establishments and his choices were on point. It was me, my husband and my step-daughter. He's more of a picky eater when she's around, so now I had two of them. Alvaro made great authentic choices for us. Everyone was happy....I got variety of authentic specialties, and they even liked most of it (at least she tried a snail, and then ate a second one for the video).
