   The largest Synagogue in Germany from 1904.

5. Protest site & memorial

   Where German women protested 5 days in March of 1943 to have their Jewish husbands released from prison.

6. Jewish workplace

   Pre-war work place for Jewish workers, many of them blind. During the war hiding place for some of the workers.

7. The oldest Jewish cemetery

   The oldest Jewish Cemetery in Berlin from 1671, closed in 1827.

8. A missing house...

   The bombed house where all Jewish and non-Jewish residents died in their sleep.

9. Kleine Auguststrasse Synagogue

   The site of former Synagogue of Ahawas Scholaum and Mogen David Associations.

10. Impressive sculpture

    The sculpture depicting the scenes of many Jews that had to fled their homes with no notice and in a hurry.

11. Sculpture with a story

    Sculpture of 7 jewish children - 5 of them representing those (2 million) who lost their lives in Concentration camps and 2 children representing those whose lives were saved by the Kindertransport to England.

12. Holocaust Memorial

    Memorial for 6 million murdered Jews of Europe - 2711 grey stone slabs from 2005.

My family and I took the Jewish Walking Tour with Miha. We have SUCH a lovely time and Miha’s passion for Berlin and history shined through. When we needed a break from walking we stopped at a cafe to reenergize and Miha was very kind to do so. We learned so much, saw many hidden gems along the way. Mihá gave us the best day in our week in Berlin. We wanted to see some interesting places which were otherwise difficult because my partner was recovering from surgery and needed help that wouldn’t be provided by typical tour. He arranged a car to take us around and see some fascinating parts of the city that would otherwise have been unavailable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and it all aspects and excellent guide. Withlocals is an excellent guide service and we plan to use it in the future. My husband and I travelled to Berlin with the sole goal of discovering a non-touristy side of it. We wanted to see a real thing. And who could show you a real thing if not local people associated with WITHLOCALS.Com? For one of our tours, “Jewish Berlin,” we had Miha as our guide. I gotta say that this was one of the best tours we’ve ever had (we book tours withlocals anywhere/everywhere they exist). He was an incredibly knowledgeable, interesting, friendly, engaging, & entertaining guide. His love for this city was contagious. His stories were fascinating. It wasn’t a one-way street though. There was a conversation going for the entire 3.5 hours of the tour. We talked about everything - life, art, history, politics, etc. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. When our official tour was over, Miha stayed with us for another couple hours showing us amazing art galleries. That generosity of the heart is what Berlin is all about. In the end we were saying goodbyes to a friend. We will definitely recommend Miha to all of our friends traveling to Berlin, regardless of which Miha’s tour they choose. Luckily, he does many different kinds. One of the best tours we’ve ever had

We spend a rather rainy afternoon with Miha on the Jewish Berlin Tour. We learned the history, the culture and some interesting facts about the Jewish culture and how Jews lived in Berlin. We saw many and sometimes more hidden memorials. Miha was a very attentive and open-minded tour guide who answered all your questions about How? Why? Really?? Weather was quite cold and we spend some time warming up over coffee but Miha still managed to show all the sites. We had a wonderful experience ! We have a 12 & a 5 year old so It is not easy to lead a tour with children. But he was very patient & tried to tailor the tour to suit the family needs. He brought us to the key attractions and he took into consideration where we like to visit and dropped us off at our first x’mas market. ( we were doing a road trip in Germany) My son left his phone at the Holocust memorial he was quick to offer to go back to look for the phone. And by the grace of God, we found it! I can’t say enough good things about my tour with Miha! It was an incredible & amazing tour. Miha is very knowledgeable & geared my tour towards the history of Berlin & lots of fun facts along the way. He was so kind & it was a pleasure to tour with him. Miha even taught me some things I did not know about the S bahn & U bahn (such as the differences in the tickets and how to tell when the approaching train was full or semi full through the red lights.) Miha took me to the roof top of a building (I can’t remember the name) & we viewed beautiful Berlin from a different perspective. It was amazing! We enjoyed a personal tour with Miha, who knows Berlin extremely well. He took us all over the city while explaining the significance of various landmarks as they relate to WWII. Miha knew the answer to all our random questions and was fun to be with. The tour gave us a lot to think about and discuss later. The following days we were able to visit some of the museums and sites that Miha showed us during our exploration of Berlin.
