Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war super und unser Guide nahm uns bereits beim Aussteigen des Shuttlebus in Empfang. Paul was very knowledgeable. He took us to all the places on our list. He had a hotspot so we could connect to the internet and that was wonderful. We had not had internet access for a couple of weeks. Very personable very down to earth. Very prompt to pick us up at the ship and got us back in plenty of time. Paul picked us up from Port Klang for our tour of Kuala Lumpur. We discovered that if you are on a cruise, you really only get a snapshot of KL as the journey into the city from the port is quite long. Notwithstanding that, Paul is a charming guide and gave us some interesting information about the places and sights we visited. It's only a pity that the constraint of our sailing time of our cruise meant that we couldn't spend longer with him. Nonetheless we had a very enjoyable day with Paul. Paul Wong is by far the best thing that happened to us on our recent vacation on Royal Caribbean. Our stop at Port Klang and subsequent tour of the Batu Caves and Kuala Lumpur would have not been a fantastic. Paul is an amazing host, incredibly nice and trustworthy. Paul became an instant "old friend" with incredible knowledge and made us feel comfortable and engaged throughout the entire day. He was waiting for us when the cruise docked and took care of everything the entire day. with the perfect ending of Satay! Even though the traffic is horrible, we got to see everything and enjoyed every minute of it and got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. We only had a day in KL as we stopped here on a cruise. We contacted Paul and we had our boooking confirmed within minutes. All communications were excellent. The day itself was fantastic, we only had 7-8 hours and Paul took us on an amazing day. We got to see the Batu caves, Museums, Chinatown, Petronas Towers, Thean Hou temple, palace. On our cruise ship trip to Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) my wife become ill, in fact she was to weak to do the tour with Paul - so the question was should I do it alone - for it was payed. No, of course not, I decided to stay with her and became her nurse. But of course I went out to the terminal to informed him that we have to cancel so suddenly. He was there, waiting for us and then - after I had talked to him - he was very disappointed, for he was so looking forward to show us his hometown and had made already wonderful plans for that day. We talked together for about 30 minutes and that made me very convinced that the tour with him would have been a great one, and Paul said, he will see us again, next time when we come back to the town. This I liked very much - he even wrote a message later and asked about her recover. So, though, we did not make the tour, I am absolutely sure that he is a very good and caring guide. Paul met us at the cruise terminal and spent the day with us in KL. He was good company, knowledgeable and showed us all the main sites of KL. When we had to park some streets away from one of our destinations he paid for a taxi to save us walking too far as we had mobility issues. We saw the museum, main square, Chinatown, market, enjoyed street food, temples, went up the KL Tower and stood in front of the Petronas Towers. On the way back to the boat Paul took us to a restaurant serving gluten free food which we needed. A fantastic day with a great guide. Highly recommendedExcellent Day in KL With Paul

The tour started out badly. The celebrity cruise ship coordinated the visa’s and passports, and our shuttle bus took us outside the port to a central meeting area. Paul and another “with locals” guide were waiting at the terminal, while all other tour companies were waiting in the meeting area—why did they know about the meeting place and our tour company didn’t? After contacting Paul about our location, it took him 40 minutes to meet us. After this poor start, the tour with Paul was very good. Paul was very knowledgeable, and friendly. We would suggest taking the trip to the top of Petronas Towers versus standing in front of the building for a picture. Tickets must be purchased on line. You stop at the 41st walkway for pictures and then go to the 86th floor. You need to read about Batu Caves before the tour. We elected to skip this stop—lots of steps and time consuming to see several temples built into a mountain. Also enjoyed Chinatown, Independence Square, Central Market, and tour of the city and then returned to the ship. As a last note for the company, it would have been nice for a private tour to have a bit larger car (doesn’t help that I’m tall), and some water in the car (we did bring our own as a backup). If you have some days in the Kuala Lumpur area, you should go to Malakka. A wonderful city with a colonial city center, a lot of temples and - of course - an amazing china town. Try the riceballs! You should not go by bus. Take it easy and go by car. Paul is a secure driver and he will bring you safe to your destination. Without a guide like Paul you will not understand the history of Malakka and the story behind the buildings. Paul is a fantastic storyteller, from whom I learned not only a lot about the history of the city, I also get deeper into the malaysian way of life.

We enjoyed discovering Melaka with Paul, specially the babanyonya history as that was totally new to us. We visited the town at a leisurely pace and Paul took us to a lovely nyonya restaurant where we treated him to lunch before going to the Heritage centre which was fascinating. Arriving in KL we viewed Petronas Towers, Independence Square, toured Chinatown, visited Taoist temple, city centre and indoor markets.
