From our first bite to our last sip this was an amazing foody experience. All of our food and drink samples were fantastic. Miriam was so friendly and welcoming to the city of Naples. We definitely felt like we experienced the culinary secrets of the city. The difference between a good tour and a great tour is the guide. This was a GREAT tour. Our tour guide Roberto was a joy to hang out with for 4 hours; walking around the streets, learning the history and stopping by a half dozen spots for vegan delights. The pizza was the best ever. Funny thing: with thousands of people walking the streets, Roberto seemed to know everyone...a true local! I do recommend this tour highly. All within walking distance of the cruise ship. We loved our tour with Miriam. She was so passionate about her city, funny, chatty and full of life. We booked as a family of four. The children loved her stories and the fact that she listened with interest to all they had to say and answered ALL their questions. She had us tasting lots of food but also showed us some hidden gems of the city, told us about the history and made us feel right at home. My wife and I came to Napoli for the first time and Gennaro treated us to a lovely experience. I found Gennaro on with locals and he was highly reviewed. He is very knowledgeable and was very helpful to planning our vacation. We met up for a mixed food and city discovery tour with Gennaro. He took us both by foot and in vehicle to see some of the most amazing sites. He took us down some paths less traveled, some incredible scenic views, and through the hustle bustle must see areas of Napoli. The multiple food stops along the way really was some incredible delicacies of sweet savory and of course, fried. After eating the multigenerational real deal Neapolitan pizza, I don’t think I can ever have pizza anywhere else again. Book with Gennaro and you’ll have a wonderful experience seeing the best that Naples has to offer. Genaro was always available for contact for our additional needs both in Naples and Capri. It’s very difficult to put into words our tour with Gennaro, as I was quite moved by the end of it. Gennaro highlighted the complexities of this incredible city as he guided us around. He sees the city from the eyes of a local, but also from the eyes of an outsider, thanks to time he also spends away from Naples. He explained Naples’ history, how it developed, and how it works today. We walked the main streets, wandered the Spanish Quarter and also took the Funicular to see a truly amazing view of sprawling Naples. We learnt about the light and shade of the city, cultural elements, superstition, religion, food, music, tourism and education. Gennaro is so passionate about Naples and we were incredibly grateful for the time we spent with him (we also did a pizza making class and food tour with Gennaro - all incredible).
