I signed up for 10 Tastings in Barcelona with Gonzalo. Food tastings were awesome. I did get more than just the food. Also learned a lot of interesting info on history and also gained insights on the life of a local. Enjoyed thoroughly the time spent. Did not feel like a structured tour but more like a casual stroll through neighborhoods with food and drink stops. Great food and great coversation.Great food and conversation.

We had originally booked this tour with a different guide but this was changed to be with Gonzalo instead. He contacted us to change the time which we were happy to do, but then cut our 3 hour tour short by 45 minutes. We were a bit disappointed with this. He was an interesting guy, just would have loved the full 3 hours that we’d booked. Interesting, but shorter than expected

We had the best afternoon with Gonzalo. Gonzalo shines a fascinating light on the history of Barcelona as we walk through its current form. He is so attentive to our interests and he brings that in as he goes. We had delicious treats along the way, he had great suggestions of further fun to be had in the city and we covered so much in our 3 hours. Nothing touristy or cheesy. Definitely our best afternoon in Barcelona thanks to Gonzalo. We loved the old hospital complex the most - it was enlightening!Gonzalo brings Barcelona alive for us!

Gonzalo was a wonderful guide for myself and my friend. His knowledge growing up in Barcelona and of all the great places to visit made our trip wonderful. We went to historical, beautiful sites; ate tapas and drank local favorite beverages that were in trendy, non-touristic neighborhoods; got to experience some salsa dancing; and learned about the culture of Catalonia and Barcelona. I can't say enough good things about our tour with Gonzalo! He was so amazing that I sent my sister his info while we were on the tour because she's heading to Barcelona nextnweek. We booked the market tour with him and it was perfection! He shared a ton of history as we walked between tours and we also sampled some amazing local items. He clearly had a relationship with the vendors and they treated us all so kindly. I loved hearing the history of some of the food. He was a fun and happy guide and my kids have compared every guide to him since we got off. Gonzalo planned a wonderful night for our group of 6. We had tapas at two different out of the way places with traditional vermouth drinks, stopped by a bakery for pumpkin empanadas and, after a basic Bachata and Salsa dance lesson, he and his girlfriend Rebecca, accompanied us to an intimate bar to try out our newly learned dance skills. Food was fantastic and dancing was so much fun. I highly recommend this outing for a group or couple. We made memories that will last a lifetime❤️ Progressive dinner and dancing!

Gonzolo was great! He was super communicative when we first started planning our personalized tour. We met with him on a Sunday and he did a great job pre-booking some free museums and got us right to the most FUN parts of them so that the kids were happy as well. We met Gonzalo in Barcelona and the moment the tour started, he made suggestions in terms of his plan for the rest of the tour while he also ask us about what we wanted to see. We had three things we wanted to do and he accommodated all three. At each tour site, he shared the right amount of history and backgrounds for the site and kept making sure that we understood. He also provided good Cantonese interpretation so that we understood a lot more about the tour site. Gonzalo recommended a less touristy area with true feeling local bars with absolutely delicious tapas and drinks. We are both vegetarians and Gonzalo was able to make accommodations at each stop. We had the pleasure of going on a tapas tour with a Gonzalo, a local guide and I must say, it was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide took us to three incredible tapas restaurants that were off the beaten path and away from the usual tourist crowds. The first restaurant we went to had a cozy, authentic atmosphere and the tapas were simply delicious. Our guide recommended some local favorites and even helped us order. We tried everything and every bite was packed with flavor. The second restaurant was a hidden gem that we never would have found on our own. The atmosphere was lively and the tapas were just as impressive as the first restaurant. Our final stop was at another hidden gem. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Overall, Gonzalo was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. What a fun evening! Gonzalo is a super knowledgeable guide and took us to three authentic places that had delicious tapas. They were so good that we ended up ordering a few extras along the way. He told us about the history of tapas, as well as ran point on ordering us wine so we could get a flavor for the region (all were terrific). At the end of the tour, Gonzalo took us to an amazing location that’s fairly new in the area — my husband and I ended up staying and hanging out for awhile. Would definitely book another tour with Gonzalo, but would also look at WithLocals in other cities we visit — such a fantastic concept. Touring with Gonzalo is a MUST

Gonzalo was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable about food and history. Overall he was such a great guide, and super kind. We got amazing food and he seemed to know all the best places. At the end he also took us to see a great view of the city! This tour included a good amount of history as well. It seemed to be a mix of history and food. This tour was amazing overall and great with kids. However, one critique I would have is it only has 2 food stops. I think including a third stop would have been nice even though the food and history was great. This tour was a lot of fun!Had a great time!

We did this as our first activity when we arrived to Barcelona. Gonzalo was wonderful and helped jump start our trip. We loved everything we saw! We only had two tastings, maybe it was due to the time of day we went, but everything we ate was fantastic. We began our tour with churros with chocolate and then ended our tour with delicious tapas. We expected to taste more food due to the title of the tour, so if you want more than 2 stops of food, just be vocal about what you want from your private tour! Gonzalo is more than accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.Worth the experience

Had a fabulous tour with Gonzalo in Barcelona! This trip was supposed to be strictly about food. That’s what I paid for and expected no more. During our trip, he made sure that my wife and I were having a good time. He asked questions what we like and didn’t like and he adjusted expertly. What was supposed to be a foodie trip also became a history tour and also a scenic tour. Why? because he can sense that my wife and I will enjoy them. He has that innate capability to read what we wanted to do. It was such a good experience for us because he immersed us in the city. We went to places that are not touristy, cut through roads that only locals knew, and got an experience of Barcelona that only a local can provide. Gonzales showed is some interessting plsces which are not mentioned in any travelguide. Gonzales created and individual tour and everybody was happy (we had teenagers in the group and to satisfy and motivate them is a challenge).
