We really enjoyed our churros and Spanish lesson with Maria. We wished we’d done this at the beginning of our trip instead of the end! We would have been communicating so much better! Maria sent us a message to confirm the night before the tour which I appreciated and met us promptly at the meeting spot at the appointed time. She then took us the a great famous churro spot and helped us dust off our rusty Spanish and tell us some of the specifics of communicating specifically in Spain—we’d learned mainly Latin American Spanish. The only thing that was a surprise to me was that we only stopped that one spot for churros. I think I’d misread the tour description and thought we’d be sampling several like on a food tour, but Maria did show us several other places and tell us some history and things to look out for (historical plaques) as we explored the city. Maria was warm and approachable and didn’t make us feel self conscious about our poor Spanish skills. Definitely recommend the tour!Great time with Maria

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Maria! My 9 year old daughter and I had a wonderful afternoon. Maria made sure to speak directly to my daughter, giving her special attention. She had her utilizing the Spanish she had learned in school. She adapted the tour to show us new and interesting sites since we had explored lots of the city the day before. Maria made the time to find a Gelato spot for my daughter and a sangria spot for myself. She even found a way for us to pop into the oldest restaurant in the world! Maria was AMAZING! She was friendly, knowledgeable and so fun to spend the afternoon with. My sister and I each have very different tastes (literally as well as figuratively in that I am a vegetarian and she is not) and Maria was still able to customize a food tour that impressed both of us!
