Dubrovnik Old Town is a visually stunning city and Marko brought it to life with his vast knowledge of its history and culture. He also shared his childhood memories of growing up here and we really enjoyed his company. The 5hr tour went by quickly and I would highly recommend Marko for a very entertaining time!Amazing Tour

Marko made the whole experience worthwhile. His suggestions and local knowledge ensured we got to see the best of Dubrovnik. It was a pleasure to have seen it through his eyes. He communicated prior to us meeting through WhatsApp and ensured he covered all of the things we wanted to do and see. He even used his own car to transport us around, which was spotlessly clean. An added touch was the thoughtful bottle of water he provided for us and he also treated us to refreshments halfway through the tour. We spent five hours on a tour of the old town with Marko. His knowledge, passion, enthusiasm and humour meant that it passed by in what seemed like only two hours. If you are having a tour through With Locals ask them to ‘get Marko’ you will not be disappointed and you will visit things that you would never see wandering around on your own. We had only a day and a half in Dubrovnik and needed someone to give us an overview upon which we could make the most of our time in the city. Marko more than filled that need. Born and raised in the city, with a passion for its history, culture, and arts, we spent three hours learning our way around the city and identifying places for further exploration on our own in the time we had left. Marko's English is top notch, and he was careful to pace the time to our needs and interests, fielding questions along the way and giving clear answers as he did. Communication with him was clear, and we met in a spot easy to find. Marco was an excellent tour guide who speaks flawless English. We learned lots about Dubrovnik history and about modern Dubrovnik. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Dubrovnik than we received with Marko I. He was personable with a sense of humor and extremely well informed. There were four of us and he met everyone's questions with in depth answers. He was flexible and met all of our needs. He even gave us restaurant recommendations which were excellent. As a Dubrovnik native, Marko was incredibly knowledgeable about Croatia, the city and its history. He told us remarkable and personal stories about the 1991-92 war and its effect on Croatia. He was flexible so that he easily tailored the tour to meet our needs. Besides Dubrovnik (and yes Game of Throne scenes), we went to Mount Srd for scenic views and Lokrum, a beautiful bio-diverse island. What a fantastic day! Marko is very knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown of Dubrovnik. We toured the whole of old town as well as walked the distance of the wall. So beautiful. Then we took a ferry to the island of Lokrum for more beautiful views. Marco exceeded our expectations. He lead us through Dubrovnik with great history, funny stories and patience. Our large group of 14 was grateful for the transportation from our cruise port to the city gates. Marco helped us shop, arranged for a tour of Lokrum island. He arranged for a lovely lunch at the only restaurant on the island and took us through ruins and botanical gardens. We enjoyed swimming on the island and cliff jumping into the clear waters.
