Ylenia and her family are AMAZING hosts!!! She was so welcoming and loving to our kids and family and shared so many stories and facts about Naples!! We learned so many things and had the best time creating pizzas together as a family and trying local drinks and then making delicious chocolate calzones! Our kids (age 10 and 8) started off a little tired but Ylenia was so patient and fun and they soon were soaking it all up! They have the most beautiful home and farm and garden and we all loved seeing it all and their beautiful view!! If you are looking for a wonderful taste of Naples authentic pizza with a relaxing family time to connect and enjoy then definitely do this activity and be sure to give Ylenia a hug from us too!! We had a four generation pizza class on a beautiful farm in the heart of Naples. Our children loved making and eating their food and our guide was so great with the kids. I was looking for a cooking class with my kids (3 and 6 years old). Then I have found Ylenia with a little research and it was amazing! She has made us feel like a friend of hers. We all had a wonderful time with Ylenia and learnt so much about Italian culture! Our daughters (7 and 5 years old) loved making the pizzas and getting messy. They also loved seeing the chickens and the cat. As well a an insight into local traditions, Ylenia gave us some amazing views of Naples with the stunning backdrop of Vesuvius. My husband, 2 teenage sons and I had a lovely evening making pizza and Nutella calzones with Ylenia. It was an easy taxi ride to her neighborhood and she graciously walked us through her property which had sweeping views of the city and took a family photo with Mount Vesuvius in the background. After we met her family (and her cat!) we got started. Ylenia described the different kind of cheeses and we tasted them all. It was fun to make the pizza and we definitely learned some tips we will try at home. The Nutella calzone were amazing. There was so much food—we took a lot home. Ylenia was so friendly and welcoming. We learned that we had been neighbors in Brooklyn NY a few years ago! I would highly recommend this experience to everyone. Lovely evening with Ylenia!

We picked some delicious plums from the garden and looked out over the stunning views before getting started inside. My husband and I and our two children aged 4 and 7, spent a wonderful evening with Ylenia who showed us round her 'hidden gem' of a house with incredible views over the bay of naples and Mount vesuvius. She was so patient with our children when teaching them all about the wonderful fresh ingredients for the pizzas and supplied us with drinks and nibbles whilst we chatted. The children really enjoyed themselves! The evening was very relaxed and we felt comfortable chatting away about our shared love of travel whilst eating. Ylenia accommodated our various food requests so easily. So lovely also to meet her lovely partner and gorgeous little boy too who clearly has a real love of fresh local ingredients too (especially cheese😋!) Ylenia and her family were so welcoming and we had the best time. Our children, aged 10, 8 and 4, all really enjoyed themselves and Ylenia was very inclusive and patient with all of us! She also found a delicious alternative dessert filling for two of us who don't eat nuts (at very short notice - sorry again!). This was the first activity we did after arriving in Naples and it was the perfect introduction to the city. Ylenia started off by showing us the amazing view from their yard. Then she completely engaged our 8 year olds in making a traditional margherita pizza. They had so much fun in learning the proper way of making pizza and then enjoyed eating it. The dessert filled with delicious Nutella was the final touch on a wonderful evening. She went above and beyond welcoming us into her home and being flexible with the schedule due to us flying in that day. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin our trip to Italy. Ylenia collected us from the Metro station and took us to her home. Ylenia and her partner made us feel so welcome with some delicious homemade wine and soft drinks for our daughters (13 & 15). The kitchen table was laden with mozzarella, fior di latte and provola cheese, together with their delicious home-grown tomatoes. Ylenia used two different pizza doughs - one made with my daughters and one she made earlier to show the different types of yeast. She showed us how to mix the dough and how the amount of olive oil added can effect the crunchiness of the base. Ylenia rounded the evening off with some excellent Nutella calzone - yummy!! It was a wonderfully relaxed evening, with the focus on the food and excellent conversation. We all throughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend this experience.One word - amazing!

Our second tour via With Locals, and it was just as amazing as our first. This is definitely the best way to see a city. Ylenia was super friendly, EXTREMELY knowledgeable about Napoli and all of it’s history. She hit some of the main sites, but also took us on a different route so we would end at our cruise ship, through the Spanish quarter and another very typical residential neighborhood away from the crowds so we could see the real Napoli. Even though we ended up arriving about 15-20 min late and told her we didn’t expect her to do the full 2.5 hrs, she did that and a little more. Ylenia was engaging, informative, and flexible. You will not regret booking with her!The only way to see Napoli!

We are so pleased we booked to do a Naples Food Tour with Ylenia, she was a fantastic guide. Ylenia was able to tell us lots of interesting stories behind Naples history and has also built great relationships with the vendors she took us to, knowing their family backgrounds. Ylenia was able to keep my two kids interested on the whole tour, they tried everything which they never do for me! The Spanish quarter was so interesting to walk around, especially with all the Napoloi football club decorations still up. Ylenia sensed my husband’s interest in football and even deviated off tour to show us the Marradonna memorial. Ylenia taught us about the history, culture, topography, language and food of Naples. She is a wealth of knowledge and easily kept our whole family engaged, a crew including quite a spread of ages from 10 on up. We met with Ylenia and started our tour. We did quite a lot of walking which was good with all the various foods we were tasting. You needed to be very hungry as some of the foods weren’t small tastings, but almost a meal. Ylenia was very knowledgeable and informative not only about the foods, but also about Naples.
