We had an amazing experience with Capitan Scott! We had our family of 5 on the trip. The boat was beautiful, luxurious and very comfortable. His introduction of Amsterdam to us was on point, we had such a fun time with him. We also had an amazing dinner from Red that was delivered to the boat. It was a beautiful day in Amsterdam and not being the best planner I had not arranged anything special for my son’s birthday. The glittering canals, the blue skies and all the happy people basking in the sun made us want to experience the city from the water- but we didn’t want to stand in line and be squished in with lots of other people. I stumbled upon Carl online - and wow, am I happy I did!! It was exactly what we were hoping for- even better! The boat is beautiful, Carl is awesome and I love the concept of stopping to pick up food to enjoy while gliding through the canals. Top notch and I would recommend for anyone looking for a special experience!Such a great experience!

Wir (Familie mit 4 Personen) haben mit Carl die Dinner Cruise Tour gemacht und die Tour waren jeden Cent wert. Ich konnte vorab die kulinarischen Präferenzen besprechen und das Essen war super. Das Boot war trotz der Außentemperaturen von über 30 Grad Celsius angenehm gekühlt. Wir saßen schattig und immer wehte eine frische Brise durch die Kajüte. Carl war super nett und hat uns viele Insides über Amsterdam berichten können. Die Tour war abwechslungsreich und super interessant. Auch wenn der Preis zunächst hoch klingt, weil noch das Essen dazu kommt, ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Wenn wir das nächste Mal in Amsterdam sind, dann machen wir wieder eine Tour mit Carl. Super Private Dinner Cruise

Sven is a very personable and knowledgeable tour guide and having a well appointed enclosed boat made the experience exceptional. There was a glitch in communication in that we were told to look for a particular boat, but the one that arrived had a different name. After standing around for half an hour and sending multiple text messages, we asked a pilot who looked like he was waiting for someone if he knew where our boat was. Turns out he was waiting for us! So...all turned out well.Great tour once it started

10/10 recommend! PRIVATE & romantic boat tour through the Amsterdam canals. *insert heart eye emoji* YES, it’s expensive - but in our eyes, 100% worth it! It’s just your group and your guide in a quaint, privately-owned small boat (not one of the large, tacky & obnoxious tourist boats). You’re welcomed aboard the cute cruising boat, formally decorated pillows & a comfy indoor AND outdoor space. You choose the most comfortable space for you to sit throughout the tour. We were offered a choice of drink: champagne, beer, or a soda. There’s a small mix of nuts during your cruise as well. Our guide was knowledgeable about Amsterdam history, the canals, the architecture, culture & more! The private boat tour allowed us to ask a bunch of questions! We specifically booked a tour around the sunset hour! AMAZING!!! Doesn’t that sound wayyyyyy better than piling on a classical tourist boat, overcrowded & using a recycled headset to listen to a pre-recorded history audio?UNFORGETTABLE, must-do in Amsterdam!

Booked this private cruise as part of my birthday celebrations with my family, ranging in age from 2 to 80yrs. We all enjoyed it very much. We had a welcome drink with a choice of Prosecco, beer or a soft drink which was a nice touch . A beautiful and well maintained boat there was plenty of room for 12 of us to sit comfortably and all with a good view. On a rather overcast day we were pleased that the boat was covered, with removable sides . Carl told us lots of interesting facts and stories which made the trip special and brought Amsterdam past and present to life. I would very highly recommend this canal cruise.Enjoyable canal cruise

I wanted to write a worse review as no Carl as guide but boat and guide were good. I think tour guide was Cedric and he was fine. I tried changing pick up location night prior and was told “no” and asked to change drop off location and was told “yes.” Good boat and interesting tid bits from guide. Be aware you are booking a cool boat and a tour guide which may not be Carl.Nice boat tour with Cedric

My son and I were visiting Amsterdam from Salt Lake City UT for the first time, and this was a fun and informative part of our experience there. Carl has lived here his whole life and knows the answer to any question you have. He renovated a mahogany boat built in 1915. It’s gorgeous! We recently took the canal cruise with Mark as our pilot/guide. He was great; knowledgeable and personable. It was a wonderful way to get a true sense of what the city feels like. Also a great way to see so much more of the canals and their boats than we would be able to do on foot (without getting lost, anyway). I booked a private canal tour for myself and my daughter with Captain Carl and it exceeded my expectations. Before the booking Carl was great at communicating everything we needed to know.
