I had a lovely time with Gregory. He showed us nice markets (food and other) and picked some great booths for us, that we (4 women) loved. The background infos about the markets where also great and he also showed us a church, where you can see excavations of the cobbled streets of different centuries, which I loved. I also liked the very special store with antique clothes a lot (Rihanna also shopped there). Just too bad, the time went so fast. Anytime againI had a lovely time with Gregory

... despite of the maybe somewhat problematic time slot that I picked (Friday morning), which meant that most of the markets were actually closed. Nevertheless, Gregory made the best of it. We visited borough market and took a stroll around it. Gregory always made sure we could try whatever we wanted to try, be it tea or cheese... and the fact that he’s absolutely fluent in German meant that really everybody in our group was able to enjoy the tour and learn really interesting stuff about London that you don’t hear on any of these official tours. We had an absolutely terrific time and if we ever get back to London we’ll book a tour with Gregory again (but maybe in the afternoon this time 😉)What a great day ...

Wir haben CHF 288.00 bezahlt für eine Führung, die faktisch keine war. Einzig die Begleitung auf dem Schiff vom Zentrum bis zur Tower Bridge war ein Mehrwert. Die Tickets für das Schiff haben wir zusätzlich bezahlt. Die CHF 288.00 für die Begleitung auf dem Schiff sind in keinem Verhältnis...es ist jenseits, so viel Geld für diese Leistung auszugeben. Zudem hat er uns Gregory auch noch falsche Informationen betreffend Bus gegeben. Ich war faktisch spätabends mit meinen zwei Kindern an der Haltestelle für den Bus zurück zum Hotel und der Chauffeur hat uns dann gesagt - dass das Busticket, das Gregory für uns organisiert hat und uns informiert hat, es wäre 24 Stunden gültig - bereits um 17 Uhr abgelaufen sei.... Wir haben dann das Taxi ins Hotel genommen und zusätzlich nochmals Geld ausgegeben. Gerne würden wir ein bessere Bewertung machen. Gregory ist ein sehr sympathischer Mensch - aber seine Führung war wirklich richtig schlecht. We had two very special guided tours with Gregory. The first arrival in London tour lead us to special places apart from the usual touristic tours. Next day we had a Sherlock Holmes tour with him. We learned to know about Sherlock and his favorite places in London. Everything was very interesting! Bringing a teen on a tour is risky. However Gregory didn’t miss a beat. He started gauging both mine and my teen’s interests right away. Brought us into an off the beat bookstore that (especially) the teen loved but we both enjoyed. Went through the alley of Jack the Ripper’s first victim- Polly. Went through a market and got delicious coffee (for me), learned about the area and the people that came together from different cultures and countries to make it what it is today. We saw lots of great street art that we never would have explored without Gregory’s guidance. Teen’s favourite was a giant purple mouse with writing - big mouse is happy (which I never even saw), I enjoyed so much of it that I can’t pinpoint a direct favourite. We ended with a small art gallery showing a display on submarines. Everything was geared towards our interests, when I mentioned liking vintage stuff Gregory brought us into a vintage market. Totally worth both the price and the time (time is more valuable than money!) and we were very tired after an early morning flight but have zero regrets going straight into the tour before we could even check in!!! Highly recommend this tour and Gregory if you value quality content and exploration with a knowledgeable guide. Thoughtful engagement in culture and area
