   We will start our experience with a train ride to Lucerne

4. KKL

   Jean Nouvel's architectural masterpiece. Сoncert hall with a capacity of 1700 people, has become an emblem of the city. The imposing and elegant roof stretching over the lake serves to bring clearly distinct architectural features together: the Concert Hall, Lucerne Hall, conference rooms and art museum.

5. Lake Lucerne

   We will enjoy the beauty of the city, the lake and of amazing Alpine - from the boat! We will see the Bay of Lucerne with all the landmarks of the city and of course - Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi and Mount Bürgenstock.

6. Chapel Bridge

   The world-famous wooden bridge is the most photographed spot in Lucerne.

7. Fritschi fountain

   There is a legend in Lucerne about a fun-loving farmer named Fritschi. Every business trip to Lucerne ended with him visiting taverns and having fun. He bequeathed all his money to one of the guilds to serve wine to the poor during carnival. To this day, the guilds fulfill his wish.

8. Lion Monument

   Have you ever heard the expression: "No money, no Swiss"? it's not about the banks at all. The mercenaries are the history and the present of Lucerne. We'll talk about how it all began at the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world.

9. Chocolate and Wine tasting

   Tasting of handmade chocolates accompanied by 2 Swiss and 2 European wines

10. Train ride back to Zürich

We contacted Lullia early on and told her the kind of tour we wanted. A mix of history, where to go, mountain hiking, lake cruise, etc. She got back with us quickly and proposed some activities, we responded with what sounded good and left it up to her to organize. We started early in the day so we could fit everything in. When we finally met she was very relaxed but diligent on how we went thru the day. She recommended places to visit mixed in with in depth history about how Luzern came to be and evolved. We had a relaxing hike on top of Rigi, ate lunch on top at a mountain cheese maker, wandered around mountain paths, cruised the lake, strolled thru the city. Never rushed but very pleasent. It was a long day but exactly what we wanted. Probably the best guide we have used in all of Europe. Luzern how you like it!

Lulia was a last minute substitution because we changed our timing due to a rain forecast. What a treat! She has a wonderful personality, and we laughed a lot as we walked around. Yet she is also very knowledgable and well traveled herself-so we also learned a lot, We call this kind of tour a "lay of the land" tour, to acquaint us with the city where we have just arrived and would spend a few days. luliia is an amazing guide. Having lived in Ukraine, Italy, and now Switzerland, she has wonderful perspective on the history and culture of Europe. Her personality is incredibly upbeat.
