We only had one full day in Madrid and we got so much more than we expected. The guide and tour was phenomenal! We saw so much more than we expected and feel we saw and understood much of the city. Enrique was such a dynamic and personal guide. He had such a strong knowledge of history in multiple areas and had a good balance of history and just made the whole tour fun. Die Stadführung war ein voller Erfolg. Enrique erklärte uns die historische Geschichte der Stadt, zeigte uns die verschiedenen Stadtviertel und sehr interessante Orte die wir ohne ihn wahrscheinlich nicht so schnell gefunden hätten. Er führte uns in Bars in denen es typische leckere Tapas gab, zudem gab er uns noch tolle Tips was man alles machen kann in Madrid. Like walking around the city with an old friend — that was the feeling of doing a tour with Enrique. Did a Madrid Tapas Tour for 4hours. Enrique was great and enthusiastic as he showed us his city. We went to 5 stops throughout the city. However I guess it should have been made clear from the start of what was included in what foods were being purchased/covered by the tour. We've used "with locals" before and done tasting tours as well, and for the tour, it covered the food we were sampling. In this situation, he will bring you to places and you buy the suggested items/recommendations. So on top of the 291EURO food was additional. The tour did cover some stops which was drinks/sardines and then also drinks/eggs. While food was cheap at the end of the day spent about 70ish euros paying for us and the guide's drinks. We spent an hour just walking into an area, without eating anything in the beginning then started thereafter. Enrique was great, I think the tour and what was covered could be improved. It was alright

Enrique’s tour was the perfect fit for the 4 of us. Our husbands really enjoyed the history of Madrid and Spain while the girls enjoyed the tapas and drinks. Enrique was very knowledgeable about Spains history, architecture and food. We especially enjoyed having him to ourselves and being able to personalize our tour to fit our needs. When we were finished he was very helpful with giving us ideas on where to eat and places to see in Seville. Enrique is extroverted, knowledgeable, engaging and we felt we learned a lot. I’d say this was a little less effective because it was Xmas day and about 1/2 the stops on the food tour were closed. Sometimes we walked 20+ minutes just to get to a specific restaurant and it was closed, rather than replace it we just skipped that stop so the pace and number of stops was uneven and reduced. So for a sightseeing tour I give him high marks- for foodies would say it was just mediocre. Enrique could have done some research and called ahead and it would have made it better. Enrique is a good person and clearly knows his town so maybe this was an issue because of the holiday?Good time

As in any tour guide you start to gauge their friendliness, attentiveness and knowledge. It was our first time in Madrid and what was a 4 hour tour of walking around the city ( my 8 yr old and I don’t walk lol) was leisurely and educational. Enrique made it fun for our 8 yr old daughter turning it to a history class with a game at the end. Enrique took us to some local tapas joints no tourist would most likely enter. We great conversation on the culture and food. When we visit again we will be sure to engage Enrique’s services. Stsrted with a guided ended with a friend!

Our walking tour with Enrique was really great. Enrique was early to meet us and we made quick introductions. Enrique asked us as we started if we had any thing special we wanted to see or do on the tour, we mentioned an avid interest in history and architecture. Our 4hour walk and tapas tour was really eye opening. The histories and sights on the tour were stunning, we've never had a tour of Madrid before and we saw so much. My boyfriend and I booked a 3-hour Madrid Highlights tour with Enrique for our first day in Madrid and it was fabulous!! We were hoping to get an overview of the city while learning about it's history with a focus on understanding the layout of the city itself, so that we could explore easily on our own during the remainder of our trip. Enrique was warm and friendly and I loved him immediately! We walked all over Madrid and Enrique was a fountain of knowledge while pointing out many interesting historical and cultural facts about the city, many of the details and facts that we learned were things we might have missed if trying to explore on our own, or even in a big tour group. Aside from learning about the history of Madrid, we were very interested in culture and day to day life in Madrid, and Enrique did not disappoint! A huge perk of this tour was that we were able to customize it to fit our needs and Enrique was very accommodating in making sure we saw what we wanted to see. At the end of the tour, we sat down for a really lovely Spanish lunch with Enrique and his fantastic husband and they gave us recommendations for restaurants and shopping areas that we shouldn't miss on the rest of our trip. I felt like we walked away good friends, and loved the tour. Highly recommended!! Enrique is the best and will always have friends here in San Francisco the next time he comes to visit! We greatly enjoyed our evening with Enrique. He met us on Gran Via and led us to to three of his favourite bars in Chueca, plus a stop at Mercado San Anton for delicious pinchos. We had more than enough to drink and and eat. Enrique explained that Madrid bars give a free tapa with a drink order, but some bars give more (and better) food than others. Our tapas included paella and chicken wings. Enrique insisted we throw the chicken bones on the floor like real locals, as he told us the origins of the custom. Enrique's husband met up with us and we wandered through the streets and plazas people watching and learning more about living in Madrid. Thank you Enrique for a fantastic evening.
