What a beautiful experience from start to finish. Booked the tour for my partners birthday, we had never done a photography shoot before so didn’t know what to expect, but Loris soon made it really relaxed and fun. Whatever I will write here will not be enough and will not do justice to how well it went. Loris is very experienced and knowledgable. Walk in tour with spritz and photoshoot is something that I would highly recommend to all who want some unforgettable memories captured and then available always. We recently had a wonderful evening tour with Loris. We arrived in Venice in the late afternoon and were only to be in Venice for one day afterward, so we wanted to combine a sightseeing tour with a local food tasting tour for the evening of the day of our arrival. Coordinating such a tour with Loris was seamless- he was easy to communicate with and developed a customized tour just for us. We enjoyed cicchetti and a lovely spritz, mozzarella in carrozza, Venetian hot chocolate, salami and various cheeses (drunken cheese was my favorite), and a cannelloni tasting. All were delicious and tailored to our food preferences. We walked at a relaxed pace through the many neighborhoods of Venice, seeing both the highlights and hidden gems of each. Throughout, Loris explained their historical significance in great detail. Our favorite places are too many to list, but most are the hidden gems we would have never found or seen on our own. We topped off the evening with gelato (the best I’ve ever tasted), at my husband's request. Throughout, Loris was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and had a great sense of humor. He answered our many questions with ease. If we are fortunate enough to return to Venice, we will definitely be contacting Loris again. This tour was the highlight of our visit! My wife and I took the tour with Loris. Loris was very good and can’t recommend him enough. He is knowledgable, helpful and easy to be with. The food side of the tour was interesting, Loris wanted us to experience several types of good quality local bites combined with a circuit around interesting sites and facts of Venice. Unfortunately the order in which the food was sampled didn’t really work for us, gelato, then chocolate, followed by fried seafood for example… Okay if you have a cast iron stomach. Loris explained that the order of seeing the parts of Venice dictated the order of the food. Hence why we scored 8/10, not 10/10. Walking tour with food stops

Loris provided a fantastic overview of Venice in three hours. We walked almost 20,000 steps with a lot of history and fun facts about the city. Loris was super helpful even before the trip on giving tips where to get delicious lunch / Cicchetti and how to get gondola without dealing with 10,000 tourists. Loris was incredibly great! You can’t experience a real Venice without a local host! Loris met us on a calm Sunday noon and showed us places we would not have seen if it is not a local with us. He changed the district of the tour on our request and showed a real Venice - places locals go to eat, get a drink, places Venice Biennale is organized at, local gardens, secret fancy hotel garden with an exit to the water, the oldest bridge in Venice and the narrowest street of the city. We followed the route based on the places we wanted to see, but we would had never seen the charming and beautiful Venice side that we saw with Loris. We managed to escape to the areas where we met fewer tourists and it was not crowded. It was actually beautiful and peaceful. We regret that we did not have the tour the first day we arrived, because we got so many recomendations and too little time to use them. Loris was such a great guide. He took us around the less well known areas of Venice pointing out interesting facts and features which would have just passed us by if we had walked around on our own. His knowledge was amazing and he really made the whole tour so interesting and was happy to answer our many questions along the way. He personalised the tour for us and the highlight for us was a tour around the hidden gardens at the Grand hotel dei Dogi. His passion and love for the city was infectious. My wife and I signed up for the Bits and Bites in Venice Tour with Loris from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on our first evening in Venice. We met him in the Campo del Ghetto Nuove in the Cannaregio district. For the next 2.5 hours, Loris navigated us through the calmer Cannaregio and Castello districts of Venice. It was a most welcome change from the more crowded, touristy sections of Venice we had encountered earlier in the day. We stopped several times for wine and appetizers selected by Loris. We enjoyed everything we had to eat and drink. He entertained us with information about the wine we were drinking and interesting insights into Venice. It was a great way to unwind and spend the evening. The next day Loris sent us an extensive list of places to eat and drink throughout Venice and the nearby islands. Let’s start by saying that Loris is a “foodie”. But he isn’t just a “foodie”. He’s a “foodie” who lives in Venice and loves local culinary scene. He’s also very knowledgeable about history of Venice and passionate about providing the true “with locasl” experience. All these things, in my opinion, make him the perfect guide for the tasting tour in Venice. It was a real pleasure to go with him from one place to another trying different types of food and listening to Loris’s explanation about Venice – the history, traditions, culture, languages and of course – the local cuisine. He taught us how to recognize a “tourist trap” just by quick look at the venue. He provided with some excellent recommendations about local restaurants and we tried one of them next day. When Loris learned that one of us is craving for cannoli which isn’t exactly a typical venetian food, he made a detour to stop by a small Sicilian restaurant which is known by their cannoli. These were the best cannoli we’ve ever tried. I would strongly recommend taking tour with Loris if you want to try some real and authentic venetian cuisine and to learn more about Venice. Had booked this for myself and my mother for a couple hours after our arriving from our train in from Rome. It ended up being just me because the trip was a bit tiring for my mom - but that didn’t dampen anything! I was so happy when I met Loris and learned we are the same age, and it honestly felt like he was sharing his city with a friend. I had a couple of needs to be accommodated diet wise (no shellfish, no pork) and he navigated around that so gracefully. We had several desserts, several drinks, delightful fried food, all while navigating Venice in the middle of Carnival! He helped me finish my food often because it was generous in portion. (Thank you!!!) We walked I think almost the entire circumference of Venice, he showed me the places he used to live, places he likes to go to on his own time, shared our interests, we met and spoke with many of the shop owners, all while Loris was giving me history lessons on the places we were walking past. He is a wealth of information, so passionate and in love with his city. I felt so connected and enjoyed all of the new things I was learning and tasting. We also had a fun time discussing Venetian winds and tides, as they are a special interest of mine and I believe overlap with his fishing and boating interest. He gave me a wonderful list of restaurant recommendations, we tried several places my mother and I and they were lovely. I retraced our food path with my mother the next day as well so she wouldn’t miss out, of course I couldn’t give the same details along the way as Loris did, but I did my best to share what I learned. Venice is a labyrinth and Loris is a beacon. It was sad to say goodbye but I know I will be back with my entire family, and maybe my friends next time. Getting to know Venice through the eyes of Loris was a privilege. I know he kindly gave me more of his time than the booking was for. He also walked me home since I was a little nervous about my navigation skills on the first day. Thank you Loris for giving me extra time and sharing your wonderful food and history with me.
