Meeting up with Paulette was easy. I’m so glad we did this tour with her on our first full day in Montmartre. She encouraged me to spend time exploring angles and focus with my iPhone and entertained my artist, not photographer, husband at the same time. We learned about the area. We timed the walk such that we were able to take photos in three different lights which was great fun. Day, golden hour and night. I would have liked a bit more direction back to our starting point before she left us in front of Moulin Rouge.

I spent a couple of days in Paris on my own before meeting my family and whilst looking through some activities I was particularly drawn to this experience due to my love for photography. I’m only a beginner but wanted to combine learning some more techniques with seeing some of the gorgeous areas of the city. Paulette was such a lovely host - we met in a lonely coffee shop on Montmartre and went though some of the basics and areas of focus and then spent the rest of morning taking pictures around Montmartre. She is super knowledgeable on Paris history and so I learnt a bit as we went along. I would totally recommend this experience to anyone who wants to make if their photography when in Paris. We are photography novices. We didn’t know our f stops from our ISOs... and let’s not talk about white balance. Within and hour Paulette had guided us through the technical stuff so we could get the the creative side. Then Paulette showed us how to look at beautiful Montmartre scenes in a different and interesting way. Her skills are incredible. In all fairness to Paulette, she was under the weather and probably should have rescheduled our time with her. She had a bad cold and I think it was hard touring us around and certainly our photo lessons would have been better. Paulette was very nice and did bring us a small journal for our travels. I took a 6-hour tour with Paulette on April 30, 2019, and I enjoyed it very much. She rearranged her schedule to fit mine, extended it 6 hours rather than her normal 3, and she took me to great parts of Paris. We took the Metro in order to go to the best places, which was fun. She insisted that we use ONLY the manual feature on my camera, which I resisted at first, but it was actually quite helpful. After dark, I used a tripod, which she had brought, and got some really fun shots. I even learned a little. Thanks Paulette!Fun photo excursion

It was an amazing tour experience with Paulette. Paulette is very friendly and was well prepared and organized for the tour. The route was well planned and she picked the best pastries in town! She also introduced a few little background stories about Le Marais. Every single pastry shop not only looks gorgeous but also has delicious French desserts such as eclairs, crepes, macarons, gauffres...,etc. I enjoyed the tour, the yummy food and also learned about French food and culture. Paulette's tour was just a true delight. She brought us along Le Marais district and told us about the history of Paris as well as the pastries! All the pastries where we had a stop were delicious, we ended up with a coffee in a very nice, authentic and cosy parisian café. I will definitely do it again in the future when I"m back in Paris.
