Ellie was a wonderful tour guide. We enjoyed every moment we spent with her and we highly recommend her for your upcoming trips. The driver was excellent, truly professional and gracious. When asked questions, he provided a wealth of information. As we drove to Maserat, Ellie explained the details of our upcoming visit and pointed out important aspects to see (since you are asked to remain silent in the church.) She worked diligently to assure that we saw the boys choir sing and that we experienced a comprehensive tour experience. We saw everything in Masserat that we had hoped to see. The vendors lined the streets with their home made honey, goods and candy as we approached the visitor center. The black virgin was beautiful and were were grateful for the opportunity to spend a few moments with her. ) The only reason I did not give this tour a 10 was not at all about Ellie or the driver, it was about the lack of time to wander around the inside of the church or even the visitors center. If felt more like a quick up and back and considering the expense of this trip, we would have liked to have more time to explore this property.Beautiful!

Our group of 4 visited Montserrat with Ellie and had an absolutely wonderful time. She was extremely knowledgeable, very professional, friendly, and it was great talking with her and learning from her. She made sure we saw everything, including the Black Madonna and had great seats for the boy's choir. The van was comfortable and we really appreciated the car the driver took as several members of our party are prone to car-sickness. My wife and I recently spent some time with Ellie strolling around the Sagrada Família. It was a wonderful tour. Ellie was professional and clearly very knowledgeable about the Basílica and its architect, Antoni Gaudí. Along the way, we also leaned much about Catalan culture and Barcelona itself. Ellie provided insight on what to expect and look for once inside the Basílica. From our external tour, she clearly broke down all the comprehensive (and staggering) symbolism that makes up the exterior of the church. Ellie is an excellent communicator and it was a pleasure to spend time with her. We learned a lot not only about the site but also what to watch for while in Barcelona. Highly recommended. Having known about the Familia Sagrada all my life and then finally being there, we certainly were most fortunate in having Ellie for our family tour guide. We had a good time on our tour with Ellie. She was kind and the kids enjoyed the sticker scavenger hunt with the prize at the end and snack along the way. (Kids ages 2/5/7) we liked learning the history of gaudi. I know time is limited on the tour, but I wish we did go inside the Sagrada familia at the end of the tour or into one of the other structures.Gaudi walking tour

Had a great tour with Ellie for our family. Lots of interesting information about Barcelona, Catalunya, Gaudi and other general information as well. Ellie worked very hard to get Sagrada Familia tickets when we discovered that the basilica was closed for a private function on our preferred day, and was flexible with changing dates/times of the tour to accommodate our schedule. The tour we had with Ellie was exceptional. It was our first time in Europe and she knew the best locations to visit on our 4 hour tour. Ellie had so much history and information on Barcelona which she was able to share with us(not sure if we could retain it all). On the heels of a 2024 trip to Italy with its many famous cathedrals and basilicas, we came to Barcelona with modest expectations for a visit to Sagrada Familia. The history and explanation Ellie provided during our tour brought the building to life and gave us an unexpected appreciation and gratitude for the basilica and all that Gaudi was trying to express in its design. Ellie was amazing at keeping the smallies engaged and so enthusiastic with them. We big ones learned a lot too and a real lesson in discovering the details right in front of us and not just rushing on quickly. She didn’t overload the littlies with facts, but instead kept them looking for themes and motifs that were repeated. And they didn’t have to walk far and she knew toilet stops whenever necessary. Sagrada Familia in itself is an amazing experience. The guide was knowledgeable and well structured but tended to lose focus a couple of times. Based on our experience this tour seems to be overpriced - 200€ for an hour outside the church plus tickets to go inside on your own is a bit much.Knowledgeable and well structured

Ellie was absolutely wonderful in planning our private outside tour of the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia and my plan to propose to my, now fiancé. At the appropriate time and place I gave her my phone to video and take pictures. It was absolutely perfect and she was a wonderful photographer for us! The tour and information provided were top notch and made our interior visit afterwards absolutely enjoyable. We had a private tour with Ellie and our 3 children (ages 9, 7 and 5). Ellie was engaging from the moment we met her. The kids (and us adults) were informed of the history of Gaudi buildings, Catalonian history and culture by way of a treasure hunt. The kids were given stickers to mark landmarks on a sheet of paper. We walked to the subway and caught the tube to La Segrada Familia and learnt the history of the building. We tried chocolate and marroqui samples (the hot chocolate is next level!). At the end of the tour, the children counted their stickers and received a small prize. We said our goodbyes and made our way into the Segrada. Ellie was great. She walked us around the exterior of the basilica and explained the significance of the structures. She provided us with historical context about Gaudi and subsequent architects. Lastly, she told us what to look for once we went into the church. By the way, tickets were sold out when we tried to get them but she was able to find tickets through a third party for us. I previously wrote a review about this tour. Everything was great about the information and insight that Ellie gave us about Sagrada Familia. Apparently I was mistaken about Ellie not accompanying us into the church. The tour did not include an inside tour of the church. I am sorry if my mistake influences anyone about booking with Ellie.
