3. 8.00 AM

   We meet and proceed to VT Station know known as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus built in 1888. It is the oldest station in India.

4. 8.45 AM

   Here we go to the Dhobi Ghat. This place is 150 years old and is also mentioned in the Guinness books of world record.

5. 9.45 AM

   We visit the Mani Bhavan, here Mahatma Gandhi lived from 1917 till 1934.

6. 10.45 AM

   Now we proceed to Pannalal Jain Temple a 130 year old Jain Temple.

7. 11.15 AM

   Then we visit the Hanging Garden and next get a glimpse of Mumbai skyline.

8. 11.45 AM

   We drive to Nariman Point through Marine Drive also called the 'Queen's Necklace'.

9. 12.00 Noon

   We head the slums where the fishermen live and here a fusherwoman will teach you how Masala Tea is prepared.

10. 12.30 PM

    We proceed to Rajabai tower built in 1878 and the Oval Maidan.

11. 1.00 PM

    No we proceed to the last few places called Gateway of India built in 1924, The Taj Palace Hotel built in 1903 and the Colaba street market.

12. 2.00 PM

    The tour ends and you can be dropped at Leopold cafe a restaurant started in 1871 or any other restaurants as per your choice or you can be dropped back to your Hotel.

We had a wonderful day with Kiran, he is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Mumbai. We visited several sites that would've been difficult to experience without the thoughtful and careful planning Kiran engaged in. Thank you very much Kiran, for showing us your city through your eyes! As we didn’t have a lot of time in Mumbai, the 6-hour tour was the perfect way to see as much as possible in a short amount of time! Kiran spontaneously took us to a restaurant serving (safe) Mumbai street food, which was delicious and turned out to be one of the highlights for us. Kiran couldn't have gone to more trouble to make the Mumbai city tour more interesting and enjoyable. Having a separate driver meant that Kiran and I could hop in and out of the car without worrying about parking. We visited all the main sites of interest in Mumbai so I felt I got a very good overall feel for the city... in just 6 hours. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and also just a friendly and kind person to spend time with. Thank you for a memorable day, Kiran!Very interesting and enjoyable!

We had been to Mumbai 2 years ago and wanted to see some different sites . Kiran has the day planned out well . We visited Kenhari caves which is outside if the city. Buddhist caves from first century. Located in a national park outside of Mumbai. Interesting stops along the way including Dharavi slums (although we had a more extensive tour last trip ) . Other stops included dhobi ghat (our request) . Overall a good day and an enthusiastic guide.Great Day in Mumbai with kiran

We are expats living in Ahmedabad but still didn't have the time to visit Mumbai. When my daughter came to visit we finally planned a trip to Mumbai and it was an absolute delight! I have had the chance to have a day tour of Mumbai with Kiran. I have had an amazing time. 1- The tour: from highlights of Mumbai to off the radar experiences such as having a chai making class in the fishermen’s slum or the discovery of the communities in Asia’s largest slum, the experience was unique. We feel blessed to have spent a day in Mumbai with Kirin. This was one of our best tours ever. We’ve traveled around the world and have used WithLocals many times, but this tour with Kiran was the best ever. We were docked at the cruise port overnight and we met Kiran as soon as we arrived. He was waiting right outside the gate as promised, which really makes its comforting when coming to a new country. We were off to a great start, and spent the next eight hours taking in all that this incredible city has to offer. Mumbai was nothing like we expected, and in one day, we saw mor then we ever had expected. What was really nice too, was Kiran had a driver with him, so we were able to hop out at a site, and he was right there waiting when we we done. Stopping at the Railway station first was a great move, and then on to some of the best sites in Mumbai. At every stop we were explained the history and details of each, and were fascinated with the passion and knowledge that Kiran has. He knows so many people as well, even in these crowded places, which makes visiting these places much easier. Some of our favorites were Mahatma Gandhi’s home, the old Morgan David Synagogue, the open food market with food stands galore, and the Overall Best stop was in the fishing village among the slums, located directly on the beach, and having Masala Chai tea with a local family there. PRICELESS ! You would never get to do anything like this on a normal tour or without someone like Kiran. If I could have booked him for another day, I gladly would have paid him double. It was that good. If you are looking for your best tour ever, this is one not to miss. WithLocals never disappoints, and we love using them wherever possible. This tour was a Ten. Just do it! We were so lucky to have Kiran as our guide for 2 whole days. With his excellent driver Suresh he showed us the real Mumbai with pride and amazing knowledge. With more time we drove to the forest in the suburbs which is a large tract of natural trees and vegetation There are wild animals including aggressive monkeys, birds and also tribal villages as well as the vast Kanheri caves filled with unbelievable Bhuddist statues and carved out spaces for prayer teaching and living. A centre for Bhuddism from the 1st to 9th C amazing! A visit to the Warli tribal village to see the local art was so interesting. The city tour highlights on our second day took in the Laundry the Taj hotel and of course the Gate to India as well as churches temples the Queens necklace, Malabar Hill and the hanging gardens, the house where Ghandi stayed, now a museum. But again the highlight was masala tea at the fisherman’s home right on the water. The fantastic Crawford market. Victoria station So many places. We felt we had really seen Mumbai beyond the usual tourist sites. Kiran was a wonderful guide who was so knowledgeable and rightly proud of his famous city. The sightseeing trip with Kiran exceed my expectations. Kiran not only showed me the famous sights like Port of India... He also organized drinking delicious Chai tee with a fisherman and his family in their house. This was really a highlight because it showed the Indian culture in an authentic way. The tour was never boring. Even when driving to the next sight there was always something to see and Kiran was always able to explain the history of Mumbai or some buildings on the way. Kiran is very nice, friendly and open minded. So for me it was a pleasure meeting him. He was at the meeting point right on time and even for not native English speakers it's pretty easy to understand him as he speaks very clear. Kiran set the bar for all of my other tours in India and none of the other three met the mark. He picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. Had a welcome gift for me - a toy tuk tuk - and an amazing fruit snack - think Mango fruit roll up but 1000x better. He showed me all around Mumbai and pointed out some aspects of the city that you wouldn’t see unless with a local. The description of his tour doesn’t do it justice! Kiran Chirayan was a great guide during our visit to Bombay on May 2019. His response time was quick even before we arrive in mumbai. As promised Kiran met us at our hotel with his driver at the agreed time and we set off for an interesting city tour. His knowledge about the city and country is vast and have answers for every questions... I have to say this, you will find the difference between a passionate guide and a tour-Guide when your with him.. He never let us alone by our own during any part of the tour while some other guides at some attractions just leave their guest to their own to go read and comeback what's written there. Where as we had a walking commentary all the time at every place. . In the beginning I was not sure if that's how the system works or not in this city... We did visit the major landmarks like Kotachi wadi - Portuguese settlement Mani bhavan Jaïn temple Story of tiffin wala - ask Kiran for his real life story.. First of all, Kiran was very accommodating with our schedule, as he picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the airport, which made things very easy for us. He was very punctual. Secondly, Kiran came with a very good driver, which means that he was able to focus on talking to us and give us explanations, without having to worry about the traffic or wasting time parking. Wir waren im Rahmen einer Kreuzfahrt das erste Mal in Indien. Abgeholt hat uns Kiran mit einem Fahrer am Hafen und dann ging's los. Victoria Station, Campells Market, die Wäscherei und vieles mehr. Wir konnten sehr viel erleben, haben die Stadt zu Fuß erkundet und wurden dann wieder vom Fahrer aufgenommen und zum nächsten Ort gebracht. Das war richtig klasse. Kiran kennt sich super aus, erklärt viel und sein Interesse an den Gästen ist deutlich spürbar. Er hat Lust auf andere Menschen. We spent the whole day traveling with Kiran through Mumbai. He is such a knowledgeable and helpful person making this 9 hours tour my best experience in India so far. We extended the tour by 1 hour as we had the chance to visit also the Kanheri Caves in the north. We were lucky as we booked our tour on a Sunday with much less traffic compared to working days. This allowed us to move much faster from A to B so that we could add this great site as one of many highlights of our tour. Had the utter privilege of using Kiran's services for what was his signature Mumbai tour. What a gentleman he is. Such a lovely humble man who obviously loves his city very much. We had a super tour and we would certainly recommend him highly again and again. His only downfall is that the heavy traffic meant we couldn't stay as long as we personally would have liked however this is by no way Kirans fault that's Mumbai for you. Kiran is a good host for a day tour of Mumbai! He is adaptable and keen to tailor the tour to your interests and understands the intensely urban nature of the city. He paced things well for us and we felt we had covered the ground but were not exhausted. He does not give extended lectures but explains where you are and what you see. We booked a half day tour of Mumbai with Kiran who kindly allowed us to customise the tour to suit our interests and timeframe. Kiran was super communicative in the entire process and picked us up at our hotel on time with a driver in a very comfortable car.The tour was great and gave us a lovely taster of the city - Kiran was very informative, kind and clearly very proud of his country and city which showed in how he conducted the tour. I had an extra day in Mumbai after a business trip. I decided to try Withlocals to see if I could maximize my time there. I've always found you can see more "with a local" and it turned out I was right. Kiran was very punctual and after a brief introduction I informed him that I had already visited the Gate of India - part of his tour - but that I hadn't been able to visit the Elephanta caves. Kiran suggested that we alter our plan and include a visit to the Kanheri Caves in north Mumbai. There was a price increase for this, but this was to be expected. I appreciated his flexibility and had a marvelous visit. After that we returned to the original tour as planned and had a great time seeing the city. By the time I had to get on an airplane home I felt like I had seen much more than I would have been able to see by myself. Not only that Kiran pointed out many things along the way that only a local would know about, so you're getting a unique experience overall. I highly recommended Kiran!Great Experience

Even though it was pouring with rain, Kiran showed me around Mumbai with great knowledge & enthusiasm. A most enjoyable trip and so much better than the typical mass-produced bus tours most tourists go on! From the initial contact via Withlocals to meeting Kiran at our hotel in Mumbai to ending our tour with him after 2-days, we can only give him high praise! Kiran knows his city and his country and loves to share his knowledge & experiences with our family. He was patient and very flexible to what our needs were and adjusted his tour accordingly. He invited us to shared a home cooked meal with his wife, Neela and daughter, Natasha, which was very delicious and also interesting to see how a local person lives. We enjoyed his company and suggestions on what to visit and see in Mumbai and would highly recommend his services to others visiting this city or in the Kerala state. Kiran is an excellent tour guide, informative, enthusiastic and versatile. We arrived on Good Friday, which was also a local holiday, so traffic was light and Kiran was able to take us to several extra places - the "thieves market", the fishing village, a Jane temple and the cathedral church, which were not scheduled on this tour! The Mani Bavan is a must see as it is full of information about the life and philosophy of Ghandi. Victoria Station and the Dhobi Wallas were included together with lunch stop at Leopolds and rounded off with a visit to the Gateway of India and the Taj hotel! Kiran also helped us organise our visit to friends in the evening, with just a small extra cost to the driver and, as we didn't want and more souvenirs, there was no unnecessary shop visit during the day! Kiran has been an excellent tour guide. He showed us the 'must sees' highlights of the city and explained Mumbai's history with a lot of pride. We visited Dhobi Ghat, VT Station, Hotel Taj, Gateway of India and Mani Bhavan. In Mani Bhavan he explained the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Lunch was lovely at the Cafe Leopold. His skilled driver managed us to take us to the always busy and hectic streets of Mumbai. I would highly recommend Kiran as a tour guide in Mumbai. Mumbai as a Local: City Tour

From my very first online encounter with Kiran, online, to our final good bye at the airport, he was terrific. He was responsive to all of my questions online and went out of his way to tailor our experience to our desires. Our 3 days in Mumbai wouldn't have been the same without him. My husband and I appreciated his professionalism and friendliness. Kiran arrived, as promised, with an air conditioned car and a driver who we came to trust completely in the hectic Mumbai traffic. Our guide Kiran was excellent. From meeting him in the morning until he left us in the evening he was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgable about Mumbai, he took us everywhere we wanted to go and more. Nothing was too much trouble he even carried the bags of shopping. The best one in Mumbay, he is kindly, smart, cultured and very professional. We had a very big delay with the airplane but he waited patiently fur us in the airport, than we had jump in a wonderful sightseeing in Mumbai. Kiran know all the magic place to visit in this special city and he had let us know them. From the city center historical place to the magic forests out of town, we had see the best in Mumbai and at the end Kiran gave us a wounderful indian dinner with his family in his house, really appreciated. I can say that we expected simply to have a sightseeing of Mumbai with a professional turist guide but we found much more, a friend that give 100 % for take care of all we need like turist in a new city. I could write about Kiran all day but I will say just one thing, if you are in Mumbai meet Kiran, for all your time or just for a coffee, it's worth! Kiran, What a magic!

On a whim, I messaged Kiran Sunday morning to see if he was available to tour me around the same day. Kiran replied promptly and agreed to take me on what became the best decision of my trip! I didn't really know what I wanted to see in Mumbai as it was my first visit- luckily, Kiran is super knowledgeable and everywhere we went was awesome!!! Day 1 (4 hours) - We went to the Kanheri Caves via Kiran's motorbike (He is an experienced rider and has owned his awesome "vintage" bike for +28 years. I felt safe the whole time!) Within my limited time, we also got to see some lovely churches, had a nice route in Bandra and caught the sunset at Bandra Fort. He dropped me off at my hotel afterwards. Day 2 (3 hours) I decided to call Kiran again since the first day went so well! He picked me up from my hotel with his driver/car and visited some fishing villages, some beautiful old churches and experienced a boat ride! It was such a treat to be exposed to how real locals live in Mumbai. I was also dropped off at the airport, and if it weren't for the traffic...I would have also been able to visit his home (wife and daughter) who so graciously prepared food for me. Next time, I'll definitely call Kiran and eat with his family :) In conclusion, I highly recommend booking with Kiran. Not only will you enjoy the best of Mumbai, but you'll also gain a friend. He made sure I was taken care of the whole time! From buying me water, taking me to the ATM per my request, made sure I was comfortable, took pictures for me etc!!! The perfect phrase for Kiran: "Indian at heart, global in spirit". --- My advice: Don't get stuck in a large group of tourists and a tour guide who is reading off a script, book with Kiran for a personalized event you'll never forget! See the unseen, and appreciate the sights. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING KIRAN! Best parts of my trip was with Kiran!
