This is one the best decision’s I made to go for this dinner at Marco and Valentina’s house ! I say to everyone it’s a must and should be on your list in Milan ! The most wonderful couple , Marco’s cooking was delicious and the produce and ingredients so pure !! Valentina’s warmth and welcoming nature , the wonderful natural wines we had , a treat ! We loved this experience! It was our first night in Italy, and a beautiful introduction to Milano. From the moment my mother and I walked in we felt extremely comfortable and welcomed. She had us enjoying her culturally specific meals that were clearly made with love. This was my first Withlocals experience and I was a little nervous about the idea. But as soon as Valentina and Marco greeted us in the hallway, I was put at ease by their smiles. Their home was equally warm and welcoming. Of course the food and wine was delicious and our hosts were incredibly knowledgeable about the cultivation of the menu items. The music and lighting also lent itself to the fine dining atmosphere. A truly unexpected part of the evening was sharing the dinner table with a wonderful couple from Amsterdam with whom we enjoyed hours of conversation on travel, culture, and politics. Within moments of meeting Valentina and Marco in their home, my husband and I felt like we'd come to dine with new friends. With a warm welcome we were soon seated in their lovely dining room in their comfortable and well-designed family apartment. Valentina is a consummate foodie (her passion and deep study) and she and Marco share an equal devotion to finding and serving the perfect wine for the meal she creates - not from recipes, but from her knowledge of a wide range of ingredients and cultures. Each dish was a tasty surprise. She sources fresh, local (and some more distant) ingredients, all of the highest quality, biological, etc. She explained each dish thoroughly and, being foodies, we enjoyed conversing with her and Marco about these passions at intervals during the meal. We shared some of our experiences, lots of smiles, and laughter. By the end of the evening, we truly felt we'd become new friends. We wish we could have done this every night. Valentina and Marco were amazing hosts, the food was fabulous and lots of information about the food and the wine. She consulted with us in advance about what we would like to eat and the types of wines and any allergies. Very responsive to our questions. Everything came off without a hitch. Their home was lovely and very typical of what we were expecting. Would highly recommend it and would do it again in a minute. The perfect evening!

Valentina and her husband are the most gracious hosts you’ll ever meet. Even her pre-dinner communications were warm and made me feel as if we were old friends. They are both accomplished chefs and prepared a multi course dinner utilizing fresh and healthy ingredients. It was absolutely delicious. They are also wine afficionados and their pairings were spectacular. There was another couple and single person the night we went, so it was a lively party of seven in their lovely home. We love d dining with Valentina and her family. They were so inviting and felt like old friends the moment we walked through their door. We brought our 14 month old daughter to it his and they had a high chair and meal prepared for her. She also played with their daughter and had the time of her life. This experience was one of our favourite in all our years using With Locals! To be welcomed into Valentina and Marco’s home and have them prepare amazing food and paired natural wine to showcase was amazing enough. But they invited two of their personal friends to round out the group. And their charming baby girl even joined the festivities for a while. Then good meal with appetizers , ricotta, pesto lasagne, , special soup with octopus, head course delicious fish on the south italian way, and a real tiramisu , loved it ! The amazing Milanese dinner with gracious hosts Valentina, Marco and sweet baby Bianca was the perfect way to begin our vacation in Milan!  Our hosts prepared a delectable and authentic four course meal and wine pairing.  The dinner menu for our party of four was customized with regional fare and complimented with organic wines from Piemonte and Lombardy wineries.  We so enjoyed learning about the ingredient sourcing and the traditional preparation methods while feasting on the delicious fare. What a treat for us as tourists to experience Valentina and Marco’s regional culinary and wine expertise in such a lovely, private setting during our brief stay in Milan.  As an unexpected bonus, Valentina shared information on local sightseeing, Slow Food International, and a private local winery tasting.  Wow!  We will never forget such a memorable experience.  Warmest thanks to our hosts from us all!

After a warm welcome at Valentina and Marco’s cozy apartment in Milan, we were seated at their dining table and served a very tasteful culinary tour of Italy. The four courses were accompanied by a beautiful selection of natural wines. Not only did our hosts prove to be great in the kitchen, they were also very pleasant company. Of course we talked about food and travel, but also about our family lives and more. Hopefully we’ll meet again someday and have diner together. Starting our visit to Milan at Valentina and Marco’s was the best choice we could have made. Not only did we have an unforgettable diner, they also gave us some very useful culinary and touristic advice that helped make the rest of our trip a great succes. We were a group of 6 friends visiting Milan for the weekend. Valentina and Marco are charming hosts and gave us a warm welcome to their home. Valentina was very responsive before and after booking to ensure that any allergies or dislikes were taken into account when planning our menu. Valentina was also happy to help with any other queries about Milan. We had a most delicious dinner. We started with stuffed mussels & seaweed, followed by cockles in a broth. The next course was scallops. The pasta course was with tuna, tomato & olives. Then we had octopus with potato purée; it was the best octopus we had ever known. Unusually, dessert was not home made but from a well known bakery; a platter of sweet biscuits, chocolates & pastries. Each course was introduced by our hosts explaining its ingredients and origin and was served with a matching wine. A small point: we would have enjoyed coffee after dinner, especially if joined at the table by Valentina and Marco. This was our first experience of a home dinner & we would thoroughly recommend anyone visiting Milan to book this one. With thanks to our hosts!

Valentina and her husband cooked us an amazing meal paired with wine. They asked what our favorite ingredients were prior to dinner and incorporated into the meal. Much of the food was locally sourced and picked by Valentina. There was a lot of food so you will not go home hungry! They explained what each dish was as it came out along with the wine being paired. Wine was pretty free flowing. The only thing that exceeded the food and wine was the company of Valentina and her husband who is super engaging. Highly recommend this experience. Our schedule in Milan was tight and I had originally wanted to schedule a cooking class but when I couldn't make that happen because of our time constraints, I booked the dinner with Valentina and Marco as a second choice. WHAT A GREAT CHOICE it was!! There was nothing 'second' about our evening at all. It was absolutely enchanting to go into their home and visit with our hosts while we enjoyed a lovely dinner with wine pairings. Valentina and Marco are consummate hosts immediately making you feel welcome and at ease. The food was delicious and interesting. My favorite course was the entree which was a veal and tuna dish that was absolutely new to me and absolutely delicious! My only regret with this tour is that I did not take a photo of our hosts or our courses. Definitely recommend!Fantastico!

The dinner started really well. When we entered the room, all the smell of it filled our senses. We were very happy to start immediately haha. Our hosts were warm and conversational. We didnt feel like strangers. The three courses were punctuated in between with small plates to fill your tastebuds. I wouldnt spoil the contents of it so as not to ruin anybody's experience - just that the wines are great, the food was homey and delicious and it was a really great ending to our day. Could easily beat any dinner at the center of the city because it was prepared well, was well thought out and amazingly executed. Last weekend we had a great local home-style dinner at Valentina and Marco. We had dinner with 13 people in ther Milanese apartment. Four lovely courses with matching wines. We had bruschetta, pasta al forno, vitello tonato and tiramisu with a pink spumante and a great red wine.
