Rita was amazing from the start. We were running a few minutes behind as we were coming in to Naples just prior to our tour. As soon as we met with her, she was super friendly and nice, gave us a lot of historical info and took us to get excellent food. She even made recommendations for other places to eat during the rest of our time in Naples and all were excellent. I would repeat this tour again and again on future trips to Naples. We booked a private culinary tour, Our guide Rita was very friendly and competent. But unfortunately the tour was not worth the money. We paid for two persons 150 EUR. The tour was announced to last 2 hours, but in fact it was 1.5 hrs. We tasted espresso, one small portion of candele alle genovese together, taralli and spritz for each of us. We have taken a tour with With Locals before so I knew this would be perfect introduction to Naples. And it was just that. Rita was such a wonderful person and guide. Her knowledge and passion for all things Neopolitan was palpable- we even had a long discussion about Saint Maradona ! I can’t fault anything about the time we spent with Rita. We learned so much about areas that I have been to before but not not properly seen, if that makes sense. We tasted some great food and tried things we may not have tried had we not been introduced to them by Rita. On our next visit to Naples I will be looking up other tours that Rita leads. Our food tour with Rita was amazing. She was so friendly and engaging it was such a joy to spend the time with her. We tasted so many traditional foods from a variety of local shops, got history and information about the city along the way. Not only was the food tour fantastic, she also had so much other information to offer us being first time Naples visitors. She aptly named herself the Google of Naples! This was the absolute best way we could start our stay in Naples. We could relax with Rita as she showed us round the old town and just enjoy the atmosphere. If we'd tried to explore on our own we would have been much more anxious about where we were going and would have had no idea about good places to eat. Rita was an amazing guide, friendly and funny, and I really loved her stories about all the superstitions of the city. The food was fantastic and it was a great mix of eating and culture. So we booked a food tour of Naples. It started at 17.00 in the city. Rita was promt and from the off very nice. We walked around asking many questions and she was able to answer all. The food we got at the stops was very nice and she had a good rapport with the owners. Our tour had many different stops and a great beer stop. We finished on the beer stop and Rita kindly walked us to a taxi. A very nice young lady and very knowledgeable, with a sense of humour. I took my hungry teenage son on this trip. Rita called in advance and was on time. Her choices were spectacular and always the best of that type of food. After: fried pasta (he rated it excellent btw), local pizza, fried sardines/octopus/ calamari/algae/shrimp, a savory cookie, ice cream, coffee, and a limoncello shot he was full. And it was all local and terrific. Rita knew her local history and was a very personable guide completely fluent in English. I would definitely use her again! I am mobility challenged (currently using a cane), and Rita was happy to adjust the tour to take this into account. It was not a bother to her for us to sit and people-watch, and she was clearly proud of her city and its history. The whole experience from making the original request to Rita on what we wanted to do, to her proposal for the trip was exceptional. Rita was accommodating while making suggestions. The meeting point was a city focal point, so was easy to find and Rita was there waiting for us, and the first "Ciao" we knew that we had found a gem. Rita is a very warm, friendly person, has a great sense of humour and her knowledge of her city, Napoli is immense. Rita does not just know the history and culture of the touristy attractions of the city, she knows the ins and outs, the details of things that you walk past and wonder and gives so much more on things about the local area and Italy as a whole. She is well read in her history, but also has a wealth of information gleaned from the older locals who she chats to. By the end of the walk, we had had an incredible 2 hours, seeing and tasting things we did not expect, in places we did not know about and met an incredible local in Rita.
