Moddy was an amazing guide! She is so friendly and upbeat. We were with her for the nighttime street food market tour our first night in Bangkok. I have a gluten allergy and she was so helpful in making sure I could eat safely. My daughter and husband are total foodies and Moddy was fantastic at making sure they tried so many authentic Thai foods. She also gave us lots of tips for navigating the city the rest of our visit. Choosing Moddy as your guide is highly recommended! Upon booking Moddy quickly replied and was extremely helpful to answer our queries. Moddy was also helpful to explore the booking of other tours and communication was quick and easy. We met Moddy on time at the meeting point and she guided us on the metro to the market while providing general information. The market was delightful and we proceeded to roam all the food stalls while Moddy provided guidance on the food and preparation. We then proceeded to tell Moddy which foods we liked to try out, whereupon we picked a table and Moddy started serving the food in courses. While we tasted the different foods Moddy sat with us while chatting and telling us more about the culture, food and Bangkok. We had the absolute pleasure of spending an evening with Moddy on the Street Food and Market Tour and a personalised tour the following morning taking in the Grand Palace, a canal tour and Wat Pho . Moddy was very knowledgeable and knew which of the various food stalls were the best ones to go to, luckily he market wasn’t too crowded so navigating around it was easy. The shopping sections were also fun with many a colourful garment on display. Having only a couple of nights in Bangkok - never having visited before - and wanting to see the night-time street food market (the 'Train' market), we thought it would be a good idea to use a local tour guide. And what a great decision that was! As strangers in a busy city there was no way we could have navigated there ourselves or picked the best street food vendors. Modi's knowledge of the city is fantastic and we got a running commentary of where to go (and what to avoid!) and what to eat, along with many suggestions for things to do the following day. (The next day we had the confidence to tackle the SkyTrain ourselves and, with the help of Google Maps, find our way to the Jim Thompson House which is a little oasis of calm in a manic city.) Having Modi to ourselves we were able to tailor our tour to what we wanted to see and do. Oh, and she's very good company too! If you're short of time and don't want to waste it, book a personal tour guide - it'll be money well spent!Local knowledge is essential!

Moddy gave us a great foodie tour of the Night Train Market and we were able to try many new foods we might not have tried on our own. All most enjoyable and perhaps the only less than great was the Pad Thai Moddy was a walking encyclopedia of insider information on Bangkok and talked almost nonstop in excellent English. Moddy was a considerate host and directed us to some excellent food stalls. We went on a Monday from about 6pm to 7:30pm and it was already getting very crowded. As we were leaving, we saw dozens more tour buses unloading and heading into the market as well so go early or be ready for a crush. This market had excellent seafood and a lot of variety - some things we hadn’t seen at other markets. We only saw a fraction of the whole market so there was a lot more too. We booked the night bazaar tour with Wachinee aka Moddy who an absolute spitfire! She was full of fun and energy which made the evening magical. She met us at the tube station and off we went to a super cool night market that is rather hidden and where locals go to. It was neat to travel by underground with a local host because I got to see how the locals use public transport. We got treated to a VIP tour of all the wonderful food that Bangkok has to offer. Moddy explained all the different types of Thai cuisine and pointed out the good stalls to eat at. We ate ourselves silly that evening and also did a fair amount of shopping which she helped in bargaining with the vendors (super helpful). Moddy was our first tour guide in Thailand and she set the tone for a wonderful trip to Thailand. This is absolutely worthwhile for anyone wanting to discover how creative Thai people are. A fantastic market to see, experience and taste excellent local food. Moody speaks English well. Her knowledge of Buddhism was enlightening and we very much enjoyed the experience of listening to the traditional Buddhist practice of chanting and talking with a monk afterwards. Moddy took us on the most wonderful day trip to Kanchanburi. She was exceptionally professional, corresponding with us will in advance of the trip to understand our preferences and priorities. The day of she and our driver arrived with extra time to spare making sure that we had everything we needed prior to our departure. We did a number of activities off the beaten path, tailored to our traveling style; huge photography fans as well as small children who love interactive experiences. From buying food from locals and trying all of the fruits and tasty treats that the roadside stands had to offer to spending time and small local villages where we got to see a piece of everyday Thai life, we could not have been more happy. Moddy organised a day tour for me during my layover before my evening flight. She picked me up at the airport earlier than planned meaning we were able to visit a second temple. She showed me the different public transportation options and highlighting stations to have in mind if I ever wanted to visit on my own.
