My husband and I could not have wished for a better guide than Nana! Already from the very first message I received from her I knew she would be the perfect match. And we were not disappointed! Ramses was charming company. Very knowledgeable about Islamic history but judged well how much information we could digest. He showed us some key historical highlights but balanced this with a walking tour of the markets and a stop for tea in a local cafe. He made sure we got back to our hotel safely. Me and my friend had wonderful time with Moustafa exploring non-touristic corners of Cairo. We instantly caught great vibe lasting until the end of the trip. Moustafa adjusted the schedule of the trip to our needs very well. Also, modifying it on the go while getting to understand our keenness to experiencing real local flavors. We could understand Egyptian history and culture better through open-minded exchange of views. We could taste local food like koshari and sugar cane juice. We had a great time on our food tour with Mohamed! We had a large group, ranging in ages from 10 - 70 and everyone enjoyed it. Mohamed truly went above and beyond! We had booked the tour on an Egyptian national holiday and one of the restaurants was going to be closed, so Mohamed offered to meet us there the night before for no extra charge. He ordered us all the best options and showed us around the restaurant, only to take us back out to complete the tour the following night. Definitely someone who is skeptical of going with a guide, but Nasreen (Nana) was super excited, knowledgeable, and accommodating for our unique pyramids itinerary. We started in the morning and traveled to Giza, had a lovely breakfast at Khufu’s, and checked out the Sphinx. You should go inside the pyramids, but be warned it’s physically demanding and not visually spectacular inside- the most in tact Egyptian burial art is in the valley of the kings in Luxor. Overall, definitely worth going with Nana for her encyclopedic explanations of ancient Egyptian history, and larger context for the country’s current culture/identity. We got lucky finding Nesreen for our trip to the pyramids in Cairo! She made our day so much better than we expected. After reading horror stories online about pushy guides and tourist traps in Egypt, I was pretty worried. But Nesreen was nothing like that. She kept things fun and interesting for all of us - even managed to keep our teenage boys engaged! She never rushed us or pushed us into any shops, which was a huge relief. Her English is great, and she knows her stuff about Egyptian history. What really stood out was how incredibly trustworthy she is - we felt completely at ease with her the entire time. Her kindness and generosity showed in everything she did, from taking extra time to explain things to my kids to helping us navigate local customs. We also really appreciated how she suggested other cool places we should check out during our trip and even offered to call places to help us make reservations. She took us to the ‘classic’ exhibits and to some less well-known things, explaining how the history progressed from old to new kingdoms and providing context and insight. We went on the food tour in Cairo just before starting a Nile cruise. Mohammed was a great guide…puntual at picking us up at our hotel, and a joy to be with. We visited 3 separate establishments to taste a variety of foods, including Koshary, Hawishi, Kofta and more. His contacts where we ate gave great explanations and offered us much information. Would definitely recommend. It lasted 3 hours from start to finish. Our only complaint was that there was too much food!Wonderful experience!

Abdou was absolutely amazing during our time in Luxor. We visited the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, and the Open-Air Museum—all stunning places made even better by Abdou’s incredible knowledge of Egyptian history. He explained everything in such a simple and interesting way, and we never felt overwhelmed. What really impressed us was how much he went above and beyond. can't recommend Abdullah enough! Our day exploring Luxor. He was very professional and hired a driver for the day. Started off at the airport to pick me up and offered coffee right away. The car was very nice and clean and driver was very good about driving slow and safe. He knew everything about the places we visited, from the Valley of the Kings (which was very busy when we left so im glad we got there early) to the Temple of Hatshepsut. Next was Medinet Habu. Then I requested a quick bite to eat that was local, we stopped for great fresh made egyptian style falafels. Just watching them being made was a highlight for me. And of course, Karnak and Luxor Temple were amazing, and Abdullah really brought them to life with his explanations. I really liked how he gave me whatever time I wanted to explore on my own. It was also helpful that he gave me tips on how to navigate the local merchants. Always support local!Full day in Luxor

Wow, what a truly wonderful day in old Cairo with Nesreen Elnagger ( Nana ) We can’t thank Nana enough for this amazing experience which should not be missed if visiting Cairo. Not only did we see many of the ancient sights along with the day to day activities going on within old Cairo but we also learned so much about the stories and history behind what we saw as well as the culture. My goal in egypt was to learn more about the ancient history and culture for which I booked a food tour with Mohamed. Since this was during Ramadan, I felt like this is the most ideal time to really experience this and get an insight in the cultural practices of the country. Unfortunately Ramadan made things also more difficult since a lot of the planned things were closed or unavailable during this time.
