We arrived at the meeting point 5 minutes early and although the place was quite spacious and there weren't many people, we were getting restless waiting for our guide Jaafar, who was a few minutes late. However, when we saw a familiar person from the photo seen on Withlocals walking towards us with a calm step, we immediately calmed down. Jaafar told us what we would do for those couple of hours, what we would see, and led the four of us through the narrow and winding streets of the Medina deep into the local hustle and bustle of sellers, buyers, workers, and artisans. Jaafar traveled at a calm but confident pace, turning around from time to time to check if we were following him. From time to time, he would stop and tell us something interesting about one or another place in the Medina. While traveling through the streets of the Medina among the stalls, it was clear that he knew almost everyone here and almost everyone knew him. We had a great time in the Medina, learned a lot and saw even more. A great excursion that I recommend to others.Private medina walk

We had an amazing time Redouan, exploring all of the local areas of the souks. We learnt all about the history of the city and were shown the way the locals cooked bread in the old wood fired ovens. We were taken to hidden areas but also spent a lot of times in stores. He spent more time with us as planned which lead to a great experience overall being had. A great day exploring

Adil was amazing! My best friend and I have been talking about a trip to Morocco for years and finally made it happen. What a great experience we had with Hassan today! My husband and I enjoyed a very authentic tour of the Medina that allowed us to see a ‘local’ perspective that we would never have seen on our own. This private experience is well worth the money - Hassan is incredibly generous with his knowledge and with his showcasing of the local cultures within the Medina. While we went to many local artisan shops where we could purchase goods, we never felt any pressure to do so. However many of the shops were in support of local co-operatives; so while similar goods could be found in the ‘tourist’ souks, the quality and craftsmanship of the local artisans was readily apparent. Highly recommend Hassan for his knowledge, style of guiding, and his warm and friendly attitude. Excellent local experience

Adil was welcoming, warm and friendly. He was very passionate about his city and had lots of knowledge to share. He was happy to be asked questions and took time to answer them. Adil engaged with our children (7&11) who had a super experience in a busy and chaotic environment compared to their experiences of life in a quiet spot in Wales. We were hungry at the end of our tour and were keen to eat some traditional Moroccan food, have a view over the square and have food which our children would eat also. Mohamed, kindly met us at our Riad as we had no idea where to go. He was very friendly and likeable right from the start. Omar our guide was as cool as a cucumber. Very relaxed as we wandered around the souk, getting into the nooks and crannies you would never find yourself. We should probably have done this tour sooner, as it gave us more confidence to really immerse ourselves in the environment.Exploring the souk

Omar, was a wonderful host, knowledgeable and patient. It was my children’s first experience of an environment like this, it can be overwhelming, he took them both under his wing and showed them sights and experiences of the medina. My children (10 & 6) absolutely loved it, Omar ensure it was an interactive, educational and engaging experience! I would highly recommend Omar as a guide for anyone and age. We had a fabulous tour with Omar. From the beginning he engaged with our 9 and 11 year old meaning they asked questions and were never bored. Omar was particularly brilliant with our son who has ADHD and is really struggles to listen!! He was super kind to him which made the whole experience relaxing for us! I booked Aimad as I was quite apprehensive about touring the centre with two young children. I also wanted us all to learn about Marrakesh and see more than stalls and cafes. Aimad was great. He took us around the souks and square telling us all about the history and culture of Marrakesh. He kept the information interesting to us and our kids. I highly recommend using Aimad and a tour guide to get the best experience in Marrakesh centre. Some tips: Haggle. We got ripped off buying a football strip and small ornament. I don’t like haggling but it’s the norm to them. -it is very busy. If you’re not comfortable in tight, busy areas I’d avoid the shops. -there are lots of cats but these are taken care of by the Marrakesh people. Enjoy!Family tour

We had scheduled our tour with Ouidad at the beginning of our trip, but had to reschedule due to my daughter having an allergic reaction at breakfast on our fist day. Ouidad went out of her way to reschedule with us (TWICE!). My daughters repeatedly said that we "saved the best for last" --- this tour was fantastic, and my daughters could not stop talking about it! Our Marrakech tour with Mohamed was fantastic! We are a family of four with two small children (a 3 year old and a 6 month old). Mohamed was flexible and accommodating with adjusting our start time and location, the streets we walked (when our 3 year old insisted on going a certain way), frequent breastfeeding and toddler tired breaks, and the interruptions to his storytelling. Mohamed is very congenial, shared interesting stories and insights into daily Moroccan life, and made the tour fun. He also ensured as much shade as possible for us during the walk! Congenial, insightful tour!
